Sun Country Farm off Hwy 36 – halfway between Mahtomedi and Oak Park Heights is amazing!! And totally affordable. Freed admission gets you a nice stroll through the farm, which includes haunted house displays, a giant spider, petting zoo and a fun themed gift shop and eating area.
There is a giant corn pit for the kids to play in for $3 – my children enjoyed themselves for over an hour, and I had to beg them to leave. Great deal considering most play areas cost $8 per children
Hayrides $4.50 with fun Halloween themes.
    Bounce House $3
    Corn Maze $4.50
    Face Painting $3
They have vintage toy rides for kids for 50 cents as well.
You can also buy pumpkins, haystacks and other decorations.

There is alot to do.. you could spend all day here. With my kids, I just picked one favorite activity for a fee and enjoyed the free area.
