Witch’s Woods Haunted Hayride and Halloween Screampark – 79 Powers Road, Westford, MA 01886.
Nashoba Valley Ski Area hosts Witch’s Woods as part of their complete fall entertainment.  The attraction is open Thursday through Sunday from October 2 – November 1, 2014.  Now in its 15th year, Witch’s Woods features a cast of 150 characters that transform into ghosts, ghouls, beasts, and zombies each night.  The haunted hayride is the signature attraction that brings you face to face with witches, werewolves, and zombies.  It is the longest hayride in New England.  The second attraction is Nightmare Mansion as the Ski Lodge becomes a scary haunted house.  Then you have Castle Morbid a chilling Midieval haunted castle.  Keeper’s Crypt 3D Fun House takes you to the land of the living dead.  Also tour the Jack-O’Lantern Jamboree with hundreds of professionally carved pumpkins to illuminate the grounds.  They also have a horror exhibit featuring Hollywood’s horror film characters.  Enjoy the carnival rides and games on the midway including SPEED XXL a 130 foot tall windmill ride.  They invite you to enjoy one of their five 60 minute live stage shows each night.  This is a full entertainment complex with maximum entertainment on weekends in October.  Bring the whole family as they have something for everyone from age 6 and up.

Besides Witch’s Woods, Nashoba Valley also has The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill, and The Outlook Restaurant and Lounge.  Check their schedule for their annual Halloween fireworks extravaganza.  Did we mention during the summer they operate a children’s day camp, summer volleyball leagues, and a private swim club.  During the winter they are open 7 days and nights with 100% of their trails lighted.  They have 17 trails, multiple rope and chair lifts that can handle 11,000 people per hour.  They also have the largest snowtubing facility in New England.

13 Nights At Jiminy – 37 Corey Road, Hancock, MA 01237.
It is hard to beat Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort for fall entertainment.  Their fall festival happens on October 11-13, 2014.  Daytime activities include Mountain Adventure Park featuring a giant swing, alpine super slide, mountain coaster, bounce houses, rock climbing wall, scenic chairlift rides, and their famous soaring eagle zip line ride.  Mountain Adventure is open on weekends and holidays from September 6 – October 26, 20014.  Also explore Aerial Adventure Park for a series of rope and climbing activities.  Nothing like this adventure anywhere in New England.  The night time fun features the 13 Nights Haunted Attraction that runs weekends and select dates from September 27 – October 31, 2014.  Check out the weird happenings at The Plantation of Jericho.  Ride the night giant swing or the soaring eagle zip line with your 13 Nights Scare & Scream package.  Enjoy a snack, dinner, or a drink before or after your fun at the resort’s Christiansen’s Tavern.
