Vienna Oktoberfest - Vienna, VA - Oct 5 to Oct 5, 2024
An annual event on the first Saturday in October from 11 AM to 7 PM. Oktoberfest drinks, food. Live entertainment on three stages including a main stage for music. Family friendly games and children’s activities will also be available. Hosted by the Vienna Business Association. Free admission and entertainment. Pay as you go. Location: Church Street, Vienna VA

Reston Holiday Parade - Reston, VA - Nov 24 to Nov 24, 2023
Reston Town Center launches the season with the annual Reston Holiday Parade! The one-of-a-kind, one-hour, half-mile parade along Market Street also welcomes the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in a horse-drawn carriage. Since 1991, rain or shine, the parade has been an annual tradition on the day after Thanksgiving. After the parade, enjoy Mini-Train rides until 4:30PM. The Clauses will return for the Fountain Square Tree Lighting at 6PM. Afterward, on Market Street, horse-drawn carriage rides continue from 6PM-10PM. Proceeds for the carriage rides benefit local charities. And don’t forget… the acclaimed Ice Skating Pavilion is open throughout the holidays.

Pender Barkotober Pet Fair and Adoption Event - Chantilly, VA - Oct 7 to Oct 7, 2023

Three-day celebration of all things handmade. 100+ juried artisans from across the country gather in the National Landmark of Waterford, Virginia to exhibit and demonstrate their made-by-hand jewelry, iron and copper work, clothing and hats, toys, furniture, treenware, pottery, baskets, and holiday and home decor. It’s your chance to touch, feel, and explore high-quality American craft and meet the artisan makers behind these fabulous works. The quaint Quaker village of Waterford comes alive with period re-enactors and street entertainers, live music, historic homes tour, art and photography show and sale, living history exhibits, beer and wine, local, fine and faire foods and hand’s on activities for the kids.

2023 Update: Host New District Brewing has shut down permanently, so we’re not sure this event is coming back …Family-friendly event with art music and KidZone (all free) plus food and dessert trucks for purchases. Beer packages are $22 and include souvenir mug and drink tickets. Replaces Capitol City Oktoberfest, and is presented by New District Brewing Company.
