German Village Ghost Tour - Columbus, OH
Storytellers of Central Ohio conduct an annual German Village Ghost Tour in October. The tour typically starts at 6:30 PM, At Fetch Park. The price is $20.00 per person/$10 for German Village Society members. The Tour features ghost stories by famous Ohio tellers and a tour of sites that was reported to be haunted. The proceeds from the ticket sales will go to sponsor The Storytellers of Central Ohio’s literacy project, Columbus Storytelling Adventures.

Historical Worthington Ghost Tour - Worthington, OH
An annual event with ghost Tours by the Worthington Historical Society in partnership with the Worthington Inn. Go under the full moon for a tour of some of Worthington’s spookiest spots. Tour guides and ghosts will tell of reported hauntings at some of Worthington’s iconic locations. The tour is designed for guests 13 and older. Tickets are non-refundable. In the past, Tickets were $15.00 and available at Fritzy Jacobs or The Shop at the Old Rectory.

Ohio Statehouse Haunted Tour - Columbus, OH
run for four days every October. It is a family friendly lantern led tour of the Statehouse limestone corridors by staff members and volunteers. generally held on the Friday and Saturday on the two weekends preceding Halloween. Tours depart every half hour between 7 and 9 PM. Tickets are limited and should be purchased early by phone, online or in person at the Statehouse Museum Shop. Parking is offered at their underground facility for an additional fee.

Old Town Ghost Tours - Dublin, OH
A ghost walk of historic Dublin, Ohio. The Dublin Ghost Walk is an outdoor walking tour that takes close to two hours and is a distance of a little over a half of a mile. Visit various haunted locations, talk about the history of this community and people’s personal experiences with ghostly activity. The cost is $10 for adults. Not recommended for children under 12. They meet in front of the Dublin branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library doors at 75 North High Street.

Cincinnati Ghost Tour - Cincinnati, OH
Tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Tickets are $15.00 each, book online. The tour starts at 295 Ludlow Ave. in Cincinnati at the fountain/statue on the corner of Clifton & Ludlow Aves. in the beautiful Clifton neighborhood. Convenient free parking is available near the fountain. The tour guide is Roy Heizer, who has been a professional tour guide for more than a decade including the Squares of Savannah History Tour, as well as the Winston Salem Ghost Tour.

Haunted Cincinnati Tours - Cincinnati, OH
a three hour bus tour that explores some of Cincinnati’s most haunted locations. Their signature tour is the Ghosts of the Queen City Tour, established in 2008. It departs from Fountain Square at 520 Vine Street. Overnight ghost hunts are available at Poasttown Elementary and Sedamsville Rectory at a cost of $59-69 per person. Participants for these events meet at the location of the hunt.

Cleveland

Cleveland Ghost Tours - Cleveland, OH

Lake County History Center - Painesville, OH
Two events in October 2017. Do ghosts and spirits really haunt the former Lake County Poorhouse? Come take a walk through the long dark corridors with nothing but a candlelight to illuminate the way. Visit all the locations around the Lake County History Center where shadows and ghostly figures have said to have been sighted. They’ll even visit the foreboding cells used in the bygone days of the Lake County Poorhouse. They will demonstrate and you may borrow “ghost hunting” equipment, such as EMF detectors and dowsing rods, while on your tour (or bring your own equipment). The exclusive lantern-lit tour is only open to 20 participants. This event is not suitable for children. Tickets: Adults: $20 Buy online, by mail, by phone or in person at the Lake History Center.

Willoughby Ghost Walk - Willoughby, OH
a 1.75 hour walking tour of downtown Willoughby at twilight. The tour covers paranormal activity and strange phenomenon in a 12 block area. Operates on Friday evenings at 8 PM from June until October. A Saturday evening tour at 8 PM is added in September/October and 7 PM tours are held on Friday and Saturday in October as well as the 8 PM tour. Prepaid reservations are required and tickets can be purchased online or over the phone. $15 adults, $9 kids 12 and U, 5 and U free. The tour was created by Cathi Weber and has been operating since June 2008.

Athens Asylum Walking Tours - Athens, OH
Tickets are $12.00 with a Southeast Ohio History Center/ACHS&M membership or $15.00 each for 12 and over. 2017 tour dates in the fall are September 17th (2-4pm), October 15th (2-4pm), October 22nd (2-4pm) and November 19th (2-4pm). This is an outdoor walking tour and will cover the entire loop of the grounds including the cemeteries so if you have small children, bring a stroller. George Eberts, an expert on the history of the Athens Asylum or “The Ridges,” will lead an outdoor walking tour of the asylum grounds. The tour will last approximately two hours. Due to Ohio University restrictions, access to the inside of the buildings is limited, but you can tour the main entryway seen in the picture as well as the Kennedy Museum. George will captivate you with his depth of knowledge as well as tell you the real stories of what life was like for the residents, as well as the employed, at the Asylum. Ghostly History Walking Tours - Waynesville, OH
Museum at the Friends home offers monthly ghost tours in the summer and more frequent October tours. Waynesville has been called the most haunted village in Ohio. The October tours conducted by volunteers of the Museum on three evenings a week explore historic downtown Waynesville or the Quaker Historic District. Reservations are required. Tickets are $12 per adult and $5 per child under 12. After the one hour tour, you can also take a self-guided tour of the Museum (included in the price). Ghost themed dinners are also offered at the Hammel House Inn in October.

Haunted Tiffin Ghost Walk - Tiffin, OH
A ghost tour in Tiffin, Ohio. Every Friday in June. Fridays and Saturdays from July through Halloween. $15 Per Person. Registration is Required. All ghost walk participants will meet at the specified location (depending on the route) between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. All walks begin at 9 p.m. (until late in the season) and will last two hours. Only those who have registered prior to the walk will be able to attend. Everyone on the ghost walk is required to sign a waiver. Payment of $15 per person. No one under 13 is admitted.

Hidden Marietta - Marietta, OH
Learn about local murders, hauntings and paranormal activity. Marietta was the first permanent settlement in the Northwest Territory and Ohio’s oldest town, so it has plenty of history. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Tours leave across from Lafayette Hotel at the fountain at the corner of Front and Greene Streets. History, Haunts and Legend Tours - Hanoverton, OH
They have been offering Hanoverton’s Original Ghost Walk for the last five years. Stroll down picturesque Plymouth Street where most of the buildings were constructed in the 1800s, explore a local cemetery after dark, and learn about historic events and paranormal activity in the area. There are also a variety of other history and educational tours including a Gravestone Meanings Tour and a History & Buildings Walk. All tours begin behind the Spread Eagle Tavern except the Gravestone Tours which start over at the Old School House located across Route 9. Tours are $8 for adults with children under 12 years old free. Hanoverton is located southwest of Youngstown and east of Canton.

Kent Ghost Walk - Kent, OH
An annual ghost walk – 2017 dates are October 13 and 14. All walks leave from the Kent Stage 175 East Main Street, Kent, Ohio 44240. Guided Walks will leave the Kent Stage every 30 minutes from 6:45pm until 9:45pm. Tickets are $10-13. Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Take a trip back in time to the 1830’s on a one hour guided haunted history tour of Heyd cemetery. Learn about the early pioneers of the castle property and the mischievous things they do to the current visitors. During the last 15 minutes of the tour you will attempt to communicate with the spirts that call Landoll’s Mohican Castle Home. The ghost walk includes a 1 hour guided tour of some of the more active areas of the castle grounds. September and October Only (Year round for groups of 10 or more). $25.00 per person

Lantern Tour of the Ghosts of Zoar - Zoar, OH
a one hour candlelight walking tour through Zoar Village. Tours are available on Friday and Saturday evenings at 9 PM at a cost of $18 per person. Reserve your spot online or by phone. The tour covers haunted locations such as Zoar Hotel, First School, the Boy’s Dormitory, Bimeler House and the Cider House.

Mansfield Reformatory - Mansfield, OH
ghost hunts and overnight paranormal investigations in Mansfield’s famous haunted prison. The public ghost walks are two hour guided tours of reported hot spots as well as stories of murder and death at the prison. Public ghost hunts and extreme hunts are overnight investigations of the facility after a tour. The price of these investigations is $50-70. They generally do not hold events in September and October due to the haunted attraction they hold at the prison.
