West Virginia Ghost Tours, Walks and Paranormal Investigations

There are six West Virginia ghost tours, several of which are fairly well known. The ghost tour in Harpers Ferry is probably one of the more popular tours in the country.Harpers Ferry was a place of conflict during the Civil War, starting with Jon Brown’s raid on the arsenal in 1859.It changed hands eight times during the war because of its strategic importance at the intersection of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers. It is now reportedly haunted by the soldiers who fought and died there. The West Virginia State Penitentiary in Moundsville and the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston are just two more of the haunted locations in West Virginia.

Here are the ghost tours in West Virginia that I have found:

You may want to add the Haunted Parkersburg Ghost Tours. We are one of the top ghost tours in the nation and older than all of the ones listed above. We are in our 21st year, and have unique tales of Appalachian Banshees, the 1966 appearance of Indrid Cold (Mothman Prophecies book and movie), 1987 Mothman sightings, Civil War Ghosts, haunted hotels, two graveyard stops, haunted houses and much more.
