Los Angeles Pumpkin Patches

Boccali Ranch - Ojai, CA
Pumpkins are available seven days a week starting in early October. Hayrides offered on Saturday and Sunday. Try their next door pizza and pasta restaurant. Join them for a haunted hayride through their corn field on select Friday and Saturday evenings in October. The restaurant does a special Italian buffet on hayride nights. They are located at 3277 E. Ojai Avenue, Ojai, CA. It is about 78 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.

CSU Pumpkin Festival - Pomona, CA
The festival runs each October.  Cal Poly Pomona’s annual pumpkin festival is one weekend in October offering pumpkins right out of their patch. Thousands of pumpkins will be available. Corn maze, petting zoo, horse rides and kids activities available for a weekend of fun. The insect fair features 500,000 live and preserved insects for your viewing pleasure. Play the games available in the student booths. Join them in the morning for the pancake breakfast. The festival happens on Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Admission and parking are free. There is a cost to food and activities. Pumpkins from the patch are $5. Proceeds benefit the College of Agriculture student clubs and activities. The Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch puts on this event and has over 4,206 Facebook likes. Their address is 4102 S. University Drive, Pomona, CA 91768. It is about 27 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

Fillmore & Western Railway Co. - Fillmore, CA
The run special event trains all year.  On October 10th ride the Pumpkinliner train to their private patch at Loose Caboose Garden Center and Emporium. Enjoy a carousel, arts/crafts, face painting and more. All of their trains are historic, restored pre-1950s locomotives. Their address is 351 Santa Clara St., Fillmore, CA 93015. It is about 55 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

Forneris Farms - Mission Hills, CA
The fall events start in October with the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze.  Open daily to early November. Pre-harvested pumpkins in Los Angeles County. Farm activities include 4 acre cornfield maze, tractor pulled train ride, pony rides (weekends) and petting zoo (weekends). Farm frolic area has hay pyramid, mini maze and giant pumpkin jumper. The pumpkin patch, farm entry, and parking are free.  Lots of other activities including corn maze with paid admission.  About the farm: John Forneris is a third generation farmer that opened his first farm stand in 1966. Green Spot Farms - Mentone, CA
The pumpkin patch opens up on October 1st.  A family owned and operated farm in the Inland Empire area. U pick pumpkin farm with colorful pumpkins of different sizes and shapes. The farm kitchen offers warm pumpkin bread and other items. The general store offers farm fresh honey. Haunted hayride for thirteen nights in late October. Their address is 10133 Ward Way Mentone, CA 92359. It is about 69 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

Irvine Park Railroad - Orange, CA
Pumpkin patch is open every day from September 19th through October 31st.  Free admission. Pumpkins are located near the train station with cost based on size. Parking costs between $3-7. Train rides, hay rides, hay maze, bounce house, pony rides and carnival games. Free haunted house for kids. Guess the weight of a giant pumpkin to win it! The Orange County Zoo is a 5 minute walk from the patch and has more than 100 animals native to the area as well as a petting zoo. The pumpkin patch is open daily in October. Jack Creek Farms - Templeton, CA
A small fifth generation family farm located in the coastal foothills of Central California. They have a number of harvests ongoing in September and October including pumpkins.  U-pick pumpkins from the vine.  They plant more than 40 varieties of pumpkins. Pre-picked pumpkins are also available from their farm stand. There is also an antique farm equipment display, hay maze, wooden train, hay stack and a growing farm animal section. Apple cider slushees and pomegranate juice granitas are available. Fresh baked goods using produce from the farm and fudge. This is more than a regular farm with full entertainment activities during the fall. Their fall festival is Pumpkin Palooza which happens on October 7th.  Experience cider and honey tasting, farm animals, a picnic area, special weekend events, bird watching and so much more. Johnson Brothers - Irvine, CA
The pumpkin patch is open every day in October this year.  A Christmas tree lot that has thousands of pumpkins available in October. Pony rides, inflatable bounce house, barnyard animals, do it yourself free face painting and play area for kids. Admission to pumpkin patch is free.  Their address is 15500 Jeffrey Rd., Irvine, CA 92618. It is about 40 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

Jumperland Rentals - Whittier, CA
Park is open daily in October with pumpkins, pony rides, barnyard animals, concessions and more. Their address is 11760 Whittier Blvd., Whittier, CA. It is about 24 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.

Lavender Hill Pumpkins - Fallbrook, CA
Pick your own organically grown pumpkin from the field starting in September. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Halloween. Ten thousand pumpkins with more than three dozen varieties from miniatures to North Atlantic Giants are available for purchase. Conveniently located off I-15 located in Northern San Diego County. Owned and operated by Mike and Libby Pierce, who donate unsold pumpkins to kids in nearby communities who otherwise wouldn’t have a pumpkin. If you are looking for carnival rides and an amusement park, this isn’t the patch for you – it’s a pumpkin farm and they do pumpkins! Their address is 1509 East Mission Road, Fallbrook, CA 92028. It is about 96 miles southeast of Los Angeles.

McGrath Great Pacific Pumpkins - Ventura, CA
Open every day in October.  A 5th generation family farm is run by this Ventura County farm with pumpkin picking, horse and tractor-drawn hay rides, farm animals and hay maze. Their address is 5100 Olivas Park Drive, Ventura, CA 93003. It is about 63 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch - Culver City, CA
Open October 5th through October 30th.  They bring their pumpkins from their farm in Oregon to a 1.25 acre undeveloped property in the Los Angeles area every October, as part of their efforts over the last 30+ years to bring the farm to everyone. Petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, super slide, giant rocking horses, straw maze and pumpkin decorating. Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  This family-run business have been offering pumpkins to Los Angeles residents since 1986. So much more than a fun place to visit, it’s a Los Angeles institution! Their address is 10100 Jefferson Blvd in Culver City. It is about 11 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.

Pa’s Pumpkin Patch - Long Beach, CA
Games, rides and a county fair atmosphere in October. Opens in September 28th. Free Admission and Parking. Enjoy petting zoo, pony rides, carousel, kid’s roller coaster and photo cutouts. 13 rides take between 1 and 3 tickets, which are available for approximately $2. Their address is 6701 E.P.C.H., Long Beach, CA 90803. It is about 23 miles south of Los Angeles.

Riley’s Farm - Oak Glen, CA
Pumpkins available starting early October.  A working apple orchard and living history farm. They have pick your own fruit including u-pick pumpkins and apples in the fall. Several acres of pumpkins are available for picking as well as pre-picked pumpkins for those that don’t want to haul them back from the field. Apples are available from late August to early November. The farm has more than 100 varieties but specializes in “heirloom” apples. Some of the trees have been growing for more than 100 years! Place your order from their bakery the day before you go for a double crust apple pie. The special dinner event in October is Sleepy Hollow, offering dinner patrons a chance to be swept back into the spooky town. Owned and operated by James Riley. Underwood Family Farms - Moorpark, CA
Open October 1st through 31st this fall.  This is their 22nd Anniversary.  Pick your own pumpkins. The fall harvest festival includes live music, tractor-drawn wagon rides, corn maze, kid’s corral, pedal tractors and animal center. Special event weekends include Friends of the Farm weekend, Folk Festival, Antique Tractor weekend, Wild West weekend and All About Pumpkins. San Diego

Bates Nut Farm - Valley Center, CA
The pumpkin patch is open daily from September 19th to October 31st. In addition to pumpkin picking, there are tractor hay rides, farm animals and straw maze. Weekends bring additional attractions like the petting zoo, pony rides and live entertainment. Special events include Youth Education day, tractor parades, craft fair and pancake breakfast. Bates got its start as a walnut farm and now imports nuts from all over the world. The Bates store offers delicious nuts, homemade fudge and an old fashioned candy counter of chocolate and treats. Bates is a popular farm with over 23,000 Facebook likes. Their address is 15954 Woods Valley Road, Valley Center, CA 92082. It is about 40 miles north of downtown San Diego.

Farm Stand West - Escondido, CA
Located near Citracado Pkwy at Interstate 15 Exit 29 is this wonderful family farm with one of the best pumpkin patches and fresh farmers markets in the state. They operate daily from Tuesday through Sunday. During October they feature pick your own pumpkins from their patch every day. They have operated the farm since the 1960′s and sold from this location since 1990. Meet local artists, crafters, bakers, and more with an afternoon BBQ lunch, hayrides, and you-pick pumpkin patch. Admission is free. They grow and sell over 30 types of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Julian Mining Company - Julian, CA
Pumpkin patch opens in late September this year.  This pan your own gold and gemstones facility also has u pick pumpkins starting in late September. Pricing is approximately 50 cents per pound. They also have a petting zoo. Their address is 4444 State Hwy 78, Julian, CA 92036. It is about 54 miles northeast of San Diego.

Omas Pumpkin Patch - Lakeside, CA
The pumpkin patch is open Tuesday -Saturdays from September 29th through October 31st. It features up to 100 person hay rides, petting corral and playground. Their address is 14950 El Monte Rd., Lakeside, CA 92040. It is about 24 miles northeast of San Diego.

Pumpkin Station - Seven Locations, CA
Pick your own pumpkins, corn maze and tractor hay wagon at the Rancho Bernardo and Bonita locations. Other locations have pre-picked pumpkins in a “patch” area with play area, train ride and ferris wheel.  Seven locations in the San Diego area.  Located in Rancho Bernardo, Bonita, Delmar, National City, El Cajon, and Mission Valley.

Summers Past Farms - Flinn Springs, CA
A small pumpkin patch offering pumpkins of various shapes and sizes from the vine. They are open weekends in October.
