Pumpkin Patches in South Dakota

Here are the four “pumpkin patches near me” in South Dakota that I discovered in my search.  The picking season usually falls from the middle of September through Halloween.  All four farms seem to do a good job in providing a unique family experience.  All are within an easy driving distance of Sioux Falls, SD. Country Apple Orchard - Harrisburg, SD
The farm is open every day this fall.  Also a special pumpkin festival in October.  A 78 acre apple orchard established in 1984 that is located five miles south of Sioux Falls. Enjoy the apple festival, harvest festival and pumpkin festival at the Country Apple Orchard this fall. Lots of activities here including pumpkin picking, hayrides, pony rides, inflatable playground, train rides, and homemade pie. Don’t miss the South Dakota Giant Pumpkin Contest held by the SD Giant Pumpkin Growers Association to see 500 pound pumpkins!

Sanderson Gardens - Aurora, SD
Lots of pumpkins, strawberries, Christmas trees, corn and more. The pumpkin patch opens early September. They are located at 47657 US Highway 14, Aurora, SD. Sanderson is 54 miles north of Sioux Falls.

That Pickin Patch - Humboldt, SD
The pick your own pumpkins as the patch opens late September. They are 21 miles west of Sioux Falls.
