Good Afternoon Everyone! Thank you for coming out to the 2017 Fair! We hope you had a good time.
For those of you still waiting for answers to your questions, we just wanted to let you know that we are working on getting answers to everyone as quick as we can. As you can imagine we got a lot of them over the weekend.
Thank you again, and we hope to see you at the 2018 Fair! ... See MoreSee Less
Marc Swansonas everybody else already said, the traffic entering and leaving the fairgrounds was horrendous. not an officer in sight at any of the intersections leading up to the grounds (roughly 2pm Sunday) and none in sight trying to leave the lot (Sunday around 6pm). this led to us sitting in the same spot trying to leave the parking lot for 2 HOURS. I will never come back to the deerfield fair with that kind of wait time. the fair itself was fun, but 4 hours of fair for an equal amount of time waiting in traffic is simply not worth it.4 months ago
Patricia WebbHad a great time there but never experienced traffic as I did this year on Friday morning. Not an officer in sight anywhere and with traffic on both sides people were not being courteous in taking turns turning onto Cotton Road. I had to force my way in after many cars blatantly ignored me.4 months ago
Lori Freeman TobinThe parking lot on Friday night was terrible. Some rows had triple parked, trapping the cars in the middle. We parked toward the back of the lot, in the correct row. When we got to our car at the end of the evening, someone had placed a tow hook and literally dragged it out of our legal, correct parking space and left it sideways in the middle of the lane. They could have seriously damaged our vehicle which we would have had to pay for. As you can imagine, I was very upset. You need to have workers patrolling the lots so people don't create a third row of parking.4 months ago
Denise LefebvreGood luck with answering the questions😫 I live in town and for 17 years no problem with traffic and parking but I THINK THE NEW PARKING ARRANGEMENT DUE TO THE SHEEP BARN caused traffic binds and parking problems...just saying. A bit more thought into parking next year a must...but a great time still!4 months ago · 5
Adam FrederickReally wish that it was longer. We tried to go Sunday but it took 3 hours to get from exit 2 to High Street in Candia when we finally decided we had enough and turned around. It was an awful decision for me to have to make as it’s the first time I have ever missed the fair in the 30 years since I was born, and unfortunately work and school schedules prohibited my family from going a different day or leaving our home earlier. I have always enjoyed the fair, but the lack of traffic direction and increased volume of fair goers forced us to seek alternative entertainment for the day.4 months ago · 3
Mindy FloydWe had a blast on Saturday! Rain or not we weren't missing it!! Only two down falls to our day was the vendors that do the spray paint shirts and other items of clothing wasn't there this year, which broke our tradition for our daughter but thats ok! And I ended up having a allergic reaction to either my bayou Billy's tin cup or the fresh squeezed lemonade inside it .. all is well now and can't wait till next year!!!! 💋💋4 months ago
Beth LangevinI miss the Deerfield Fair. I went as a kid often to see the horse pulling. I now live in Arkansas and I miss all the fairs.3 months ago
Andy MayoTime to make it a week long, some people try to avoid going to mass 😉 awesome time this year and never stop the pig scramble no need after 141 years! Keep up the good work4 months ago · 2
Jacalyn Gale Morrill ColbertWhat a great weekend weather wise.... little cold on Saturday but great. We came on Thursday and listened to the Stuck in Time band, great band. We love classic 60's and 70's music. Thank you Food was great as usual.3 months ago
K.o. Stradivariusloved hearing Jilly Martin and Ryan Kelly and Stuck in Time Band would like to see them back as well as Quentin Callewaert who performed in 2016 and was fantastic.3 months ago
Alicia KuykendallDeerfield Fair is legit the best Fair around but I will agree with most that it's a nightmare getting out of the fair grounds. I was parked up near the front gates and it took me around 2 hours to leave on Sunday night. Regardless, I'll do it again next year because it's worth it. Thanks for putting on a great Fair! 👍🏻4 months ago · 1
LeeAnn Fay-EllisCongratulations on a fantastic fair! As a vendor we understand how the weather can effect the attendance. Many people we spoke with came Sunday because of the rain on Saturday. We hadn't even considered that the lack of the Rochester Fair this year would increase the attendance at Deerfield. Again, congrats and job well done! See you next year!4 months ago · 7
Lindsey Hall TraskLet's see traffic was an issue here is just a few thoughts of mine.... Sunday was the better of the two day weekend, the demo was on Sunday and as far as I know the car count was kinda high in the demo which if you missed it was GREAT as All the time, and Rochester didn't have a fair, not that everyone is interested in Rochester's fair, just a few to ponder on. Deerfeild GREAT job, keep it up, your always improving 👍4 months ago · 3
Les CarbonneauGreat fair! Have been going since I was a kid. Love to walk around and look at everything and the smell of fair food takes me back in time. Never gets old! Do miss the guy that sold hot dogs wrapped in bacon, my dad and I always went there first. But a great fair, see you next year!4 months ago · 1

Alex WestIs there a list of the vendors that were there? I'm looking for the name of the company that was selling the ENOURMOUS whoopie pies 😀4 months ago
Terry PennyWas attendance down at the 2017 Deerfield Fair? It seemed, except for Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday were sparsely attended. Moving Gate E also made a large change of Fair Goers to our Location this year as well as making it more difficult to get in and out of the Fairgrounds for us. It seemed that the crowd waited until Sunday to come. Folks I know drove in on Friday night with only a few vehicles ahead of them.3 months ago
Kevin TaskerJust a thought you guys should add more bleachers for the Demolition Derby and tractor pull and should charge 5dollars a ticket you would make a killing oh and add handicap seating and be well marked !!!! Just a thought !!!3 months ago

Alexa KarlHi, love The Deerfield fair for 20 yrs... As a Raymond resident. Friday early afternoon 43 traffic horrible. So I went down 27 to Candia without a problem. Agriculture events great with local schools pictures, art , participation... Farm barns clean and friendly... Thank you !4 months ago
Wendi FavreauWe love the fair and go every year. I've been going for 25 years but this year on Sunday we sat in traffic almost 2 hours in and 3 hours out. Not sure what police were directing traffic but they need more experience4 months ago
Kaisha MorseI went to the fair 3 times this year - Thursday after work, Saturday around lunch, and Sunday late, and never sat in traffic in or out of the fair. I spent more time in line for the ATM then I did in my car. I guess I just got lucky.4 months ago
Don't forget, we built a new sheep/alpaca/goat barn this year. Look for the large barn down by the old school house! hope to see you there! ... See MoreSee Less
Susan KarmerisThe buildings are fine but the parking was a nightmare. Never did fine handicapped parking and attendants didnt know where it was. Then found out that gate E was gone. Had to enter by the rides. Not where I wanted to be. Only found one set of handicapped toilets. SO while I enjoyed the fair, a few signs would have helped. And I have no idea why Gate E is gone. Seems like it could have been left there.4 months ago
Leela OlsonAs a volunteer in the poultry barn I really appreciated the attendant at the Porta potties. He is a wonderful man, kept things clean and he deserved the extra thank you of a tip.4 months ago · 3
Barbee Sullivan-HarringtonWonderful visit, no problem parking, found all the buildings and exhibits we wished to see and even pushing a wheel chair through the crowds was no problem! Love the Deerfield Fair, so glad we went and we will look forward to next time. :-)4 months ago · 7
Kenneth GrayAwesome barn. Reminded me of the sheep show at The Big E with all the metal fencing. Great to see a fair putting money into buildings.4 months ago · 1
Mary McCormackWe were not able to watch the sheep shearing b/c we couldn't find the building & now I know why... not with the rest of the animals! 😕 Will remember for next year though!4 months ago · 1
Hope HoltBig E did an amazing job keeping the port a potties clean by the poultry barn below the cows. Loved that he separated the ladies and gentleman.4 months ago · 1
