This is Oregon’s Little Switzerland and their annual Bavarian type festival featuring polka music, fold dancing, alphorn blowing, yodeling and much more. A bit like a traditional Oktoberfest, but embracing the craft beer made in Eastern Oregon, using those made in the Swiss, German, Czech, or Austrian style. The only Swiss-Bavarian festival in the western US, Alpenfest salutes all the nations and principalities that stretch through the Alps. Since 1978.
