The Nintendo Switch Lite is a handheld game console that serves as a smaller, more colorful version to the popular gaming device released a few years ago. It was released on September 20, 2019. The regular price at launch was $199.99 and available around that price at Amazon, Best Buy, Target and more major electronics retailers.

It is looking like the best deal on the portable Switch Lite will essentially be around $175.     Walmart Ad Shows Black Friday Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4 Deals in 2019 (LEAK)

    A screenshot of the Walmart Black Friday ad for 2019 purports to show huge deals on the Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch, PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro and Xbox One S Digital bundle. The leak has not been confirmed and the source is not necessarily credible, but it will be a huge Black Friday deal if it is true. Here is what the screenshot indicates the savings that will be available at Walmart: Nintendo Switch Lite – $149 (save $50). There is even a Nintendo Switch Lite Black Friday deal! Be still my heart. This just proves how much the game manufacturers are looking to move merchandise ahead of next year’s release of the new Playstation 5 and Xbox Two (?). All three colors will allegedly be on sale – Yellow, Turquoise and Gray. For those tracking it, the total discount is 25% off the regular price. The sale on the Nintendo Switch Lite is a bit surprising because it was just announced by Nintendo this fall and just started shipping in October following a pre-order period.     We have no idea what kind of price discounts and sales to expect on the Nintendo Switch Lite this year. There are a few different possibilities although it is really to early to speculate. There will probably be a bundle that offers at least one extra game as part of the package. There could also be a few sales of between $30 and $50 off (whether through a price drop, a gift card special, or other rewards such as Kohl’s cash).

    Rakuten offered a sitewide sale of $30 off the Nintendo Switch Lite in early October 2019 – so this is probably a baseline for what is to be expected as the best so far.

    The Nintendo Switch has been the most popular gaming system over the past few years. It was released a few years after the last consoles from Microsoft and Sony Playstation. We will see what happens in the next few years as the Xbox Two and the PS5 are released next year.

    The expectations are that the Nintendo Switch Lite will be followed up in a few years by another version of the original console. We have begun to hear rumors that the Switch 2 is in development at Nintendo and that will be exclusively for home gaming and be compatible with all of the original console’s peripherals and games. The initial leak says Nintendo is targeting an early 2021 release date, which will be around the fourth anniversary of the original console’s launch. So it looks like the first Black Friday for the Nintendo Switch 2 will probably be Black Friday 2023.

    With a shortened Christmas shopping season this year due to the positioning of Thanksgiving late in the month of November, and a lack of competition with the other gaming consoles, there could very well be better sales as the electronics retailers, specialty shops and major retailers as they compete for the business at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart and others.
