Apple Scrapple Festival -

Pancake breakfast to open the festivities. Food court with apple dumplings, scrapple sandwiches and more. Carnival rides, car show, 5K, craft show, home decorating contest, entertainment stage, children’s area and more. But wait, what’s scrapple? A pork breakfast meat my (Jayne) grandfather used to describe as “everything in the pig but the squeal.” It’s a popular breakfast offering in the mid-Atlantic area (along with our other pork offering, pork roll) – pork, cornmeal, spices, usually panfried so it’s crispy on the outside but somewhat soft on the inside – if you know, you know!
