Although peanut harvesting in the Aubrey area is in the past, area citizens have gathered in the town of Aubrey for an annual salute to the peanut as a part of their heritage since 1986. Visitors can enjoy the free day-long festival. Attractions include: • The parade which begins the day at 10:00 am, with citizens of the area riding past the spectators who line Main Street. The parade is led by the award winning high school marching band and is followed by representatives of all organizations and businesses in the area. • Live musical entertainment by local bands can be enjoyed into the evening. • There will be many games and activities for all ages. • There will be various food booths including Barbecue, Cajun, Haitian Cuisine and much more! • Browse countless booths with arts and crafts, specialty items, information and other merchandise items available.
