Spirits in the Night - Janesville, WI

A new specialty tour—Spirits in the Night—is being planned by the Rock County Historical Society for this upcoming October. The tour is based on the mysterious, imaginary fates of an innocent, but cursed family in an epic Victorian-style tragedy. The attendees will discover for themselves the tangled web surrounding the family’s ultimate demise through a truly thrilling experience. It will be a three-act tour that will start in the Wilson King Stone House where the attendees will be greeted and the tragic narrative of the unfortunate family will begin to unfold. The tour will then move next door to the Lincoln-Tallman House where they will be guided through three floors of mystery, uncertainty and surprise that waits around every corner. It will finish at the “Spookeasy” in Frances Willard School House where tour members can relive the tour and relax with friends with food, beverages, and watching silent horror films. Dates for the tour will be October 6-8, 13-15, 20-22 and 27-31. Tours will start at 7:30 p.m. and run to 11:30 p.m. The cost will be $15 per person and is intended for those aged 13 years and older. The tours begin at the Wilson King Stone House (located next to the Lincoln-Tallman House) at 915 Mineral Point Rd., Janesville.
