Stanley Hotel Tour - Estes Park, CO

a range of options from a 90 minute tour of the Hotel to a 5 hour ghost hunt. The 90 minute night ghost tour walks around the property but does not walk through the hotel floors at night. It is $20-25 per person. The extended paranormal investigation is $50-60. There are also special events around Halloween including a murder mystery dinner and masquerade ball. The Estes Park hotel was the inspiration for Steven King’s The Shining. He stayed in Room 217, where the chief housekeeper of the hotel in the early days fell during an explosion to the floor below, breaking both of her ankles.

Veiw of the 3rd floor hallway at midnight July 3rd. The air was warm and uneasy. I came up the staircase from the back parking lot just in time.

Bet they can stop there without having to pay a parking fee! The fence around the Stanley makes it look more like a prison.
