Labor Day Parades in 2020

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”35566″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]The very first Labor Day parade happened in New York City on September 5, 1882.  More than 130 years later, American communities and labor organizations still host events for workers and their families on the first Monday in September.  It was made a Federal holiday in 1894.

Last year, our research led to more than 100 parades on Labor Day (September 1, 2014).  We’ll be updating this list shortly for 2015, so stay tuned!  If you know of a parade that is not on the list, please let me know about it.  We’ll be using this list as the starting point for our research so be sure to let us know if there are any that we have missed.
