About Ghostbusters
The Ghostbusters were launched into American culture in 1984 when the hit film about parapsychologists who capture ghosts starring Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver showed up at movie theaters. Following its success, an animated television series called The Real Ghostbusters aired on television from 1986 to 1991. In 1989, Ghostbusters II was released. There is now talk of a third Ghostbusters film.
