Scary Mesa Haunted Houses This Halloween

Dark Scares – 1900 East University Drive, Mesa, Arizona 85203. Dark Scares Hotel operates Friday and Saturday nights from October 18th through November 2nd plus October 20th, 27th, and 31st.  Doors open at 7 pm and close at midnight.  Ticket are $20. Abandoned by time, Dark Scares will cause you to lose your senses in the dark.  What lurks as you weave through the labyrinth in the dark.

Golfland Fright Nights – 155 W. Hampton Ave., Mesa, AZ 85210 Golfland Fright Nights runs a terrifying maze called The Gauntlet Haunted House.  It runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday from October 4th through November 2nd plus the 9th.  It is open Friday and Saturday from dusk until 12 am.  Tickets are $13.  Golfland Fright also has miniature golf, race cars ride, laser tag, and the bumper boats.

The House on Camino – 4055 E. Camino, Mesa, AZ. Mesa also has a haunted garage called House on Camino.  This past year, the theme was a haunted motel and the money raised was donated to the Child Crisis Center.  This is a charity haunt attraction with free admission.  It operates on Octboer 26th, 27th, and 31st from 6 pm until 9 pm.  Donations are appreciated.

The Crypt Haunted Attractions– 1445 W. Southern Ave., Mesa, AZ 85202.
Located just off US 60 in the Fiesta Mall parking lot is three haunted attractions.  The Crypt, The Asylum, and the all new Chaos Maze.  Tickets are $15 for one attraction, $23 for two plus $5 for the Chaos Maze.  Hours are 7 pm until midnight on Friday and Saturday or 10 pm on other nights.

Sanctum of Horror – 2055 S. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ 85209. Located at Power Square Mall is Sanctum of Horror.  It is open Friday and Saturday night, October 11-12, 18-19, 25-26, plus Halloween night and November 1st.  Doors are open from 7 pm until 10 pm.  Tickets are $12.

AZ Field of Screams – 5726 N. 75th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85303. Walk through a dark cornfield.  Careful, they are waiting for you.  Where can you run?  Expect to be terrified at Field of Screams.  Tickets are $16.  Attraction is open from 7 pm until 11 pm.  Visit every Friday and Saturday from October 4th through the 26th plus Halloween night.

The Nest Haunted House in Chandler, Arizona has been closed for 2013 because of structural damage.  It has consistently been ranked as one of the top haunted houses in the country. Good Morning America, MSN.com, and America’s Best Haunts have all placed it on their top haunted house lists in the past two or three years.

13th Floor Haunted House – 2814 W. Bell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85053. The largest haunted house in Phoenix is 13th Floor.  There is a reason buildings do not have a 13th floor.  Can you survive the 13th Floor?  Every 113th customer who makes it through gets money back.  It is that scary.  The second scary attraction is Zombieland Haunted House.  Are you afraid of Zombies?  You will be.  Two attractions at one combined low price of $24.99.  The attraction in September is open on the 13-14, 20-21, and 27-29.  It is open in October on 3-6, 10-13, and 16-31.  It is also open in November on 1-2, and 8-9.  Doors open at 7 pm.  Funtober names 13th Floor the #1 Haunted House in Arizona.

Fear Farm – 2209 N. 99th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85037. Fear Farm is 26 acres with 5 haunted attractions and a separate corn maze.  The haunted houses are Chainsaw Mayhem featuring murder, crippling chaos and blood.  Sector 13 has aliens in a terrifying battle.  Condemned is about insanity and mayhem.  Annihilation has zombies.  Twisted Toy Factory is about the toys created by demented factory workers.  Cost for all 5 combined is $25.  Fear Farm is open in September on the 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th.  It is open in October on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from October 3rd through the 31st.  The Fun House corn maze opens at 6 pm.  Fear Farm haunt opens at 7:30 pm and closes at midnight on Friday, Saturday, and Halloween night.  It closes at 10 pm on other nights.

Chambers of Fear – 11340 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, Arizona 85378.
Located near Phoenix, Chambers of Fear is the valley’s scariest haunted attraction.  Over 25,000 sq. feet of terror in a combined 3 haunt attraction (Chambers of Fear, Scary Tales, and all new Darkness: Industrial Nightmare) for one low price of $23.  All dates open at 7 pm.  Friday and Saturday night it closes at midnight or at 10 pm on all other nights.  Chambers of Fear has been rated the #1 Haunted House in Arizona a number of times.  Read our interview with Graveyard Entertainment the producers of Chambers of Fear.

Haunted House and Hayride – 4700 E. Warner Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85044. Tickets are $7.  Attraction is open on October 25th, 26th, and 27th.  Doors open at 6 pm.  They offer free candy to all brave visitors.  Also feature Halloween merchandise, caramel apples, apple cider, treats, and bake sale.

Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare – at Westworld, 16601 North Pima Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.
Rock legend and movie maker Rob Zombie brings his Great American Nightmare to Scottsdale.  Three terrific haunted houses named The Lord of Salem in Total Black Out, Captain Spaulding’s Clown School in 3D, and The Devil’s Rejects are all takeoffs from his wildly successful horror films.  You just have to love a guy that really gets into his work.  He brings a sick, disturbing, bloody, three-dimensional horror that includes a sick demented laughter to his projects.  Doors are open 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM on Friday and Saturday nights.  Thursday and Sunday hours are 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM.  Tickets are $25 at the gate.  Save money and get your discounted tickets online.  Read more about this attraction in our blog post “Rock Star Rob Zombie Opens Haunted House in Arizona This September“.

Vaseo Nightmare on 7th Street – 16220 N. 7th St., Phoenix, AZ 85016. Tickets are $2 for this attraction which runs on October 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm.  Now in its 4th year.  Features food, music, and family activities from this community partnership.

America’s Original Scream Park -8823 E. McDowell Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Azizona’s Original Screampark features four terrifying houses of terror.  Tickets are $29.  The park is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from October 4th through November 2nd plus October 28th, 29th, and 30th.  It opens every night at 7 pm and closes on Friday and Saturday nights at midnight.  It closes weeknights at 10 pm.  The four attractions are Horror High, Gold Miners Revenge, Clown Town, and Zombie Infirmary.

Jack and Jill’s Haunted Hill – 4907 W. Bell Rd., Glendale, AZ 85308. Jack and Jill’s Haunted Hill general admission tickets are $12.  The attraction is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights in October from October 4th through November 2nd plus the dates of the 29th, and 30th.  They close at 10 pm Sunday through Thursdays or 12 am on Friday and Saturday.  Now in its fifth year you should expect to be terrified here.
