This annual July tradition at the start of the back-to-school season has historically been a great time to buy a Chromebook, gaming laptop, generic laptop computer or other electronics at steep savings off the regular price. Chromebook Deals

Chromebooks are lightweight, fast laptop computers that use the Chrome OS (Operating System) and store files on the cloud. They typically use the Chrome browser for surfing the internet and Google Docs for word processing and spreadsheets. If you are looking for a cheap laptop computer and don’t need the full power of a laptop, a Chromebook is a solid option. Gaming Laptop Deals

For the past two years, a MSI gaming laptop has made the list of the best notebook computer specials on Prime Day. It wouldn’t surprise us if there is another gaming laptop on Amazon’s list of lightning deals for Prime Day 2018. However, it may not be as good of deal as it has been in the past because the cost of graphics cards are going up with the increase in interest in mining cryptocurrencies. So we will all be closely watching this category to see what makes the list this year.

Dell Laptops

We expect that any sales on Amazon for Dell laptops will involve the Dell Inspiron. However, Dell typically starts its back to school special savings around that time so surfing on over to Dell.com will get you savings on a wide variety of electronics including desktops, laptops, TVs, monitors, computer accessories and more.

Apple Laptops

There have historically been a number of sale price discounts on Macs, iPhones, iPads and other Apple accessories for Prime members. Other electronics retailers like Best Buy and Walmart have also joined in the fun with their own offerings for the day for deal loving shoppers and college students headed back to school. We will be on the lookout for cheap Apple MacBook computers including sales on the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. If we see a good deal on an iMac, we’ll probably also list it here just so that you have a full understanding of the available sales and can choose the best option for your money.

2-in-1 PC Deals

Two in one convertible laptop and tablet computers have gained in popularity over the past few years as tablets and touchscreens have become regular fixtures in homes. We will be closely following several manufacturers including Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft to ensure that we find all of the best lightning deals on laptops available to Amazon Prime members.

Tablet Computers

We will also be tracking and posting the best Prime Day tablet deals here at Funtober.
