Funtober lists Iowa corn mazes in major cities like Des Moines, Sioux City, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, and more.  Visitors this fall can get lost in a daytime corn maze, the daylights scared out of them in haunted mazes with bloodied actors and actresses wielding weapons, as well as more difficult options such as flashlight and moonlight mazes. You’ll find options with small mazes designed for kids and large, challenging ones to keep adults occupied for a long time. And don’t forget about the other fall activities that occur on these farms including pumpkin patches, hayrides, farm animals and children’s activities. It’s one of the best parts of September and October!

All Corn Mazes in Iowa

3 Bee Farms - Griswold, IA
Over 80 years old this orchard features more than 1300 apples trees. It has a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayrides, live animals, and playground. Fall festival events start with Honey in early September and continues weekly with Johnny Appleseed, Autumn, and up through a Pumpkin event in October.  Their address is 14922 535th Street, Griswold, IA 51535.

Bloomsbury Farm - Atkins, IA
They start their fall festival event in the middle of September.  They are open every day.  A popular place last year with their festival themed corn maze. They start the fun after Labor Day and includes a wonderful pumpkin patch, activities, weekend events, wine tastings, and more. They also host a separate haunted attraction called Scream Acres Maze. Their address is 3260 69th Street, Atkins, IA. It is about 16 miles west of Cedar Rapids.

Center Grove Orchard - Cambridge, IA
The orchard features pumpkins, apples, hayrides, farm animals, and a corn maze. They are open daily in the fall with live music entertainment on weekends. Their address is 32835 610th Ave., Cambridge, Iowa. It is about 26 miles north of Des Moines.

Ditmars Orchard - Council Bluffs, IA
They keep expanding their pumpkin patch and improving their popular corn maze. They are open daily during the fall. Apple events available in September.  On weekends they frequently have special fall events.  Their fall festival weekend is October.  Their address is 19475 225th Street, Council Bluffs, IA 51503. It is just 8 miles east of Council Bluffs.

Harvest Barn - Osceola, IA
A fun place with a pumpkin patch, corn maze, barnyard, mini golf, duck races, wagon rides on weekends and so much more. It opens Wednesday through Sundays starting around September 1st and lasting through October. Their address is 2721 US Hwy 34, Osceola, Iowa 50213. It is about 55 miles south of Des Moines.

Harvestville Farm - Donnellson, IA
No fee to visit this farm.  Open every day beginning September 1st.  Visit their working farm just one mile east of Donnellson, Iowa, where they feature over 175 varieties of pumpkins, squash, gourds, and ornamentals at our roadside open air market. Their mission is to provide a fun, safe, educationally based rural fall festival experience for families by offering unique hands-on agricultural related activities, food, and an outdoor market featuring our homegrown pumpkins, squash, gourds, and ornamentals. Some of their attractions include: a 10 acre professionally designed corn maze, horse drawn wagon rides, pick-your-own pumpkin patch, bonfires, educational field trips-tours open to schools, youth groups, boy-girls scouts, and any other group or party interested. Their address is 1977 Highway #2, Donnellson, IA 52625. It is about 75 miles south of Iowa City.

Heartland Farms - Waterloo, IA
Opening on September 21st.  Thousands of pumpkins as they really decorate for Halloween. Enjoy their family friendly Scarecrow’s Haunted Barn, Haunted Cornfield, punkin playland, giant jumping pillow, and more kids activities. They are open for fun from the last weekend in September through October 31st. They are open every day of the week except Monday. They also operate a separate haunted attraction at this location called The Heart of Darkness at night with separate admission and hours. The farms location is at 5111 Osage Road, Waterloo, IA 50703. It is about 14 miles east of Cedar Falls, IA or 49 miles west of Cedar Rapids.

Howell’s Pumpkin Patch - Cumming, IA
The farm is known for pumpkins and their corn maze. Take an antique tractor ride out to the fields.  They also have a gift shop, homemade ice cream, greenhouse, and kids activities including barn yard, live animals, hay stacks, and more.  Open every day after September 12th.  Their address is 3145 Howell Court, Cumming, Iowa 50061. It is about 10 miles southwest of Des Moines.

Pinter’s Gardens and Pumpkins - Decorah, IA
They open starting late September this fall for their corn maze and pumpkin patch activities. They feature a bakery, gift shop, garden center, and fall events. Their address is 2475 State Hwy 9, Decorah, IA. It is about 100 miles northwest of Dubuque.

Pride of the Wapsi - Long Grove, IA
Opening this fall in late September.  A pumpkin patch and corn maze with lots of fun kids activities this fall. Their address is 14600 305th Street, Long Grove, IA 52756. It is about 18 miles north of Davenport.

PumpkinLand - Orange City, IA
Pumpkinland is less than an hour from Sioux City and Sioux Falls, Iowa. Truly a family farm since 1911. Features include a petting zoo, children’s free corn maze, adult corn maze, pumpkin patch, retail store, school field trips and on Saturday’s special events every weekend. Pumpkinland is open September 1st – October 31st. It takes 45 minutes to an hour to navigate the approximately one mile of trails through the cornfield. The fall festival has pre-picked and u-pick pumpkins. Their address is 4123 Jackson Ave‎, Orange City, IA 51041. It is about 44 miles northeast of Sioux City.

Pumpkinville & Corn Maze in Mitchellville - Mitchellville, IA
They have a 20 acre big corn maze that runs from every day from August through October 31st. Of course Pumpkinville has lots of pumpkins of all sizes. Pumpkin patch opens the middle of September.  Also features are a straw trains, hayrack ride, and games. Their address is 618 Center Ave. S, Mitchellville, IA 50169. It is about 18 miles east of Des Moines.

Scarecrow Farm - Lawton, IA
Pick your own pumpkin, walk the corn maze, enjoy apples, and honey this fall. They open weekends starting September 12th and every day in October. Their address is 1592 Charles Avenue, Lawton, IA. It is about 8 miles east of Sioux City.

Schuster’s Pumpkin Patch - Dubuque, IA
Enjoy lots of fun starting in late September on Saturday and Sunday this fall.  Open for 20 years they feature a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and wagon rides. Their address is 7541 Schueller Heights Road, Dubuque, IA 52003. It is about 7 miles south of Dubuque.

Solsma’s Pumpkin Patch - Sanborn, IA
Open every day from Labor Day through Halloween.  Now celebrating 21 years in business they feature pumpkins, a corn maze, and country store. Their address is 6190 320th St., Sanborn, IA. It is about 23 miles west of Spencer.

The Community Orchard - Fort Dodge, IA
Another fun orchard that opens for fall in August with their Apple Fest. They are open every day all fall with a corn maze, apple cider, wagon rides, and Orchard Café.  They feature a pick your own pumpkin patch starting September 1st.  The Community Orchard is popular with over 7,522 Facebook likes. Their address is 2237 160th Street, Fort Dodge, IA. It is about 100 miles north of Des Moines.

The Pumpkin Ranch - Winterset, IA
The fun has begins on September 20th.  A family owned honey and pumpkin farm. They feature zip lines, horseback rides, face painting, and kids games. They also feature Iowa’s Mega Corn Maze. It is 10 acres and miles of paths. There are 12 different check stations. They usually are open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from the last weekend in September through late October. Their address is 2425 Hiatt Apple Trail, Winterset, IA 50273. It is about 39 miles southwest of Des Moines.

Uncle Bill’s Farm - Grinnell, IA
This farm used to be called Carroll’s but it was purchased three years ago by Bill Owen and the name changed to Uncle Bill’s Farm. Same family values-just a different name. They officially open Pumpkin Season the middle of  September and runs October with both their pumpkin patch and corn maze. Admission on weekdays is $9 per person. Weekends admission is $12. Children under the age of three are admitted free. Week day school tours available by reservation. Parking is always free. Admission includes access to the playground, Big Orange Jumping pillow, picnic area, corn pit, trike ride area, pumpkin patch, gift shop, fast food restaurant, weekend magic and puppet shows in the Big Barn loft, weekend amusement rides (cow train, electric train, jump house), hourly wagon rides to the field (weather conditions permitting-prior to 5 pm each day.) They’ve added real bathrooms (instead of porta-johns), a greenhouse for year round plant sales, a swamp themed kettle corn kitchen, and a farm themed children’s book shop. Folks can take a wagon ride to the field to pick their own pumpkins or pick one from the green house at .49 cents a pound. We also have decorative gourds, mini pumpkin, corn shocks and fall mums for sale. The address is 244 400th Ave., Grinnell, IA 50112. It is about 52 miles east of Des Moines.
