Allsups Farm/Pumpkinville – Mitchellville, IA – 20 Acres, Multiple Mazes
Take part in a scavenger hunt as you work your way through this maze. Bring your flashlight to try out the maze after dark. There is also a mini maze for kids that takes about 15 minutes to complete. When you have had enough cornfusion, take a hayrack ride to the ten acre pumpkin patch.

Geisler Farms is a third generation family farm 14 miles northeast of Des Moines that is run by Darrell and Malinda Geisler. The corn maze will be open for its ninth season on weekends from September 7 through October 27, 2013.

Howell’s Pumpkin Patch – Cumming, IA – 10 Acres
This 800 acre Madison County farm has been worked by six generations of the Howell family. Located about 25 miles south of Des Moines, you’ll take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and corn maze for an afternoon of fun. There’s also pony rides, friendly farm animals and a playground here.

The Handsaker Family opened the Pumpkin Ranch in 2010 to share their love of fall with others. Traversing this 9 acre maze takes about two hours. Other activities to enjoy on the Pumpkin Ranch include the zip line, playground, horse drawn covered wagon rides and the pumpkin patch. There is a $5 off coupon on their website.

See if you can put together the puzzle map while you work your way through this 10 acre corn field maze. They also grow 15 acres of pumpkins with a u-pick field. A variety of other farm fun activities are available including hayrack rides, farm animals, pumpkin cannon, jumping pillow, pig races, gemstone mining and more. The farm began as a greenhouse and landscaping business in 1995. Agritourism activities started in 1997.

This fifth generation Southeast Iowa farm has been engaged in agritainment since they started their pumpkin patch in 2004. They now grow 40 acres of pumpkins and gourds every fall. The maze opens September 7, 2013. Saturday nights in October is the moonlight maze from 7 to 10 pm, so don’t forget your flashlight! Enjoy a hayride, make a scarecrow or engage in lots of other fall fun.
