In the 2019 movie Captain Marvel, Starforce member Vers (Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel) is tracked and captured by the Skrull leader Talos. After Vers escapes, she makes her way to Earth and discovers that everything is not what it seems. The Skrull, who are masquerading as humans, are actually the victims at the hands of the Kree and simply trying to save their people and find their missing family (on board a cloaked ship hidden by Mar-Vell who is aka Dr. Wendy Lawson on Earth).
