NOMA Square will be transformed into a Bavarian Biergarten during a free 4 day community celebration. Includes German food such as grilled bratwurst, pretzels with beer cheese & mustard, Sauerbraten and more! Beers including Paulaner’s Munich Lager, Hefe-Weizen, or Oktoberfest. Games and contests including cornhole, Jenga, the chicken dance, and stein holding competition. Festival-goers will also get to compete in a Bratwurst-eating contest for some great prizes. This Columbia Oktoberfest will have authentic German food, live oompah bands and lots of beer. Hosted by Incarnation Lutheran Church. Admission is free. Entertainment includes the German Friendship Folk Dancers, the Walhalla Bavarian Dancers, The German Connection Band and Die Lustigen Musikanten. Oktoberfest in Old Town is a family friendly Bavarian styled street festival. It will be held on E. Main Street in Rock Hill, S.C. on Sat., October 15th from 4-9 P.M. There will be music from a strolling accordionist & the Foothills Oompah Band. The festival features the very popular “Wiener Dog Run” that benefits the York County Humane Society. Oktoberfest at Marion Square - Charleston, SC - Oct 21 to Oct 22, 2016
Charleston’s German Heritage Societies will sponsor an authentic Oktoberfest on Friday, October 21st from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Saturday, October 22nd from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM in downtown Charleston on Marion Square. The two day Oktoberfest will feature “The Stratton Mountain Boys”, a traditional Bavarian entertainment group that performs authentic German music and dancing. German fare and beer will be available.
