MFBG Beerfest - Lake City, SC - Sep 9, 2017
1:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday at Moore Farms Botanical Garden. VIP ticket holders get access for a sneak peek and first taste at Noon. Enjoy beers from over 35 local and regional craft breweries and devour delicious local food truck eats. Botanical Garden serves as backdrop. 9-11 Candlelight Vigil - North Myrtle Beach, SC - Sep 11, 2017
Commemorate our loved ones that fell victim to the 9-11 attacks at the annual 9-11 Candlelight Vigil. The ceremony begins at 7:00 pm at the Horseshoe (end of Main Street). Spectators line the streets holding American Flags as the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle group, North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Color Guard, and more travel down Main Street to the Horseshoe. After the presentation of a remembrance wreath by the North Myrtle Beach Public Safety and Fire Department, join everyone on the beach for a twenty-one gun salute by the Marine Corp League. Complete silence and only a glow from the crowd’s candles light up the night as Taps is played and the dedicated wreath is taken out to sea for our fallen Americans to rest.

Summerville Rotary Oktoberfest - Charleston, SC - Sep 30, 2017
A family friendly Oktoberfest with games, food, beer and music hosted by the Summerville Oakbrook Rotary Club and the Summerville Evening Rotary Club. Contests include the chicken dance, stein hoisting, brat eating, best beer belly and best German costume. Admission: $5. Children under 3 are free. Proceeds benefit various organizations and scholarship funds.

Oktoberfest at NOMA Square - Greenville, SC - Oct 5 to Oct 8, 2017
NOMA Square will be transformed into a Bavarian Biergarten during a free 4 day community celebration. Includes German food such as grilled bratwurst, pretzels with beer cheese & mustard, Sauerbraten and more! Beers including Paulaner’s Munich Lager, Hefe-Weizen, or Oktoberfest. Games and contests including cornhole, Jenga, the chicken dance, and stein holding competition. Festival-goers will also get to compete in a Bratwurst-eating contest for some great prizes. Newberry Oktoberfest - Newberry, SC - Oct 7, 2017

Congaree Bluegrass Festival - Cayce, SC - Oct 7 to Oct 8, 2017
This two day event will give you the best in bluegrass music and Sunday is the Gospel Bluegrass Gathering, which will be an afternoon filled with great food and Gospel music. Held at the Historic Columbia Speedway which features unlimited free parking and a beautiful, large space. Features top-quality bluegrass bands. There will also be a free children’s area with bouncy houses and tractor rides around the track. Family-friendly with festival food, square dancers, cloggers and more.

Oktoberfest Columbia - Columbia, SC - Oct 13 to Oct 15, 2017
This Columbia Oktoberfest will have authentic German food, live oompah bands and lots of beer. Hosted by Incarnation Lutheran Church. Admission is free. Entertainment includes the German Friendship Folk Dancers, the Walhalla Bavarian Dancers, The German Connection Band and Die Lustigen Musikanten. Lunch and Dinner menu includes wiener schnitzel, jaegerschnitzel, weisswurst and bratwurst with sauerkraut, spaetzle, kartoffelsalat (potato salad) and more. This historic Pendleton South Carolina festival will be held on Saturday from 10 until 5. It will feature great food, wonderful entertainment, talented crafters, and old fashioned games for the kids. When you arrive in Pendleton, you will be greeted by the over 100 Scarecrows who are participating in the annual Scarecrow Contest.

Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival - Bluffton, SC - Oct 14 to Oct 22, 2017
Where Fine Art & the Bounty of the Sea Come Together. This festival is a week long event offering activities showcasing the locally harvested seafood, delicious Low Country cuisine, rich history, Southern hospitality, and art of the area. Highlight is the Streetfest on the second weekend which includes a juried fine art show featuring over 100 artists from 10 different states displaying and selling their art, delicious food provided by the area’s premier restaurants and caterers and great music and entertainment.

Walhalla Oktoberfest - Walhalla, SC - Oct 20 to Oct 22, 2017
This annual South Carolina Oktoberfest in Walhalla will have live music, food, Oktoberfest dancers, 5K road race, carnival rides, arts and crafts, and family friendly activities. Greer Station Oktoberfest - Greer, SC - Oct 21, 2017
Two stages of German oompah bands, German food and beer from Warsteiner. Local artists work will also be on display in downtown Greer. Menu items include knackwurst, bratwursts, fresh pretzels, kettle korn and lots more. Sample a large selection of German beers and wines.

SC Pecan Festival - Florence, SC - Nov 4, 2017
Held annually on the first Saturday in November. Hosted by the Florence Downtown Development Corporation and The City of Florence. Over 50,000 attend for the live entertainment, food & craft vendors, rides, antique tractor show, car show, competitions, 5K/10K/half marathon runs, half metric century bike ride and more.

Hilton Head Oyster Festival - Hilton Head Island, SC - Nov 10 to Nov 12, 2017
Shuck and slurp at the Oyster Festival at Shelter Cove Community Park. Buckets of oysters and a variety of stewed, steamed and fried oysters. Live entertainment stage and a kid zone with bounce houses and other activities. Admission to the festival is $6 and children 10 and under are free.

Run for Our Troops 5K - West Columbia, SC - Nov 18, 2017
The Cayce – West Columbia Junior Chamber presents the annual 5K event to support military veterans and first responders that are coping with physical and emotional injuries resulting from their heroic service to our nation. The race course begins on Alexander Road near the parking entrance to the West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater. Originally scheduled for 9/11/17, this event is postponed to 11/18/17 @ 9:11am due to Hurricane Irma.

Oktoberfest in Old Town is a family friendly Bavarian styled street festival. It will be held on E. Main Street in Rock Hill, S.C. on Sat., October 15th from 4-9 P.M. There will be music from a strolling accordionist & the Foothills Oompah Band. The festival features the very popular “Wiener Dog Run” that benefits the York County Humane Society. Check website ( www.onlyinoldtown.com) for details. You will find German food & pastry, German beer and more. There’s a Kids Zone area along with assorted vendors. There’s no admission fee.

Oktoberfest at Marion Square - Charleston, SC - Oct 21 to Oct 22, 2016
Charleston’s German Heritage Societies will sponsor an authentic Oktoberfest on Friday, October 21st from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Saturday, October 22nd from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM in downtown Charleston on Marion Square. The two day Oktoberfest will feature “The Stratton Mountain Boys”, a traditional Bavarian entertainment group that performs authentic German music and dancing. German fare and beer will be available.

Where Fine Art & the Bounty of the Sea Come Together. 11th annual event. A week of activities featuring Southern hospitality, culture, seafood, local cuisine and art. Streetfest has juried fine art show, food, music and live entertainment.

Little River Shrimp Fest – Little River, SC – October 10-11, 2015.  Join about 22,000 visitors for a shrimp cook out, kids activities, over 150 vendors, arts and crafts, fresh local seafood, and entertainment.  Held at the Little River Waterfront, 4460 Mineola Ave., Little River, SC.

St Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church Fall Festival – Summerville, SC – October 24, 2015
Annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 10am – 4pm. This community event will be held at 11001 Dorchester Road in Summerville, SC and includes free admission and free parking. During the festival, you may enjoy ham and cheese biscuits in the morning, a car show, arts & crafts, vendors, a Christmas shop, a pet fair, a book sale, food trucks, baked goods, games for all ages, pony rides from 10am-1pm, a flight simulator, free entertainment, a silent auction, a white elephant sale and so much more.
With something for everyone, the Fall Family Festival is a great way to enjoy time with friends and family and meet others in the community. Please no pets allowed.
