Summersville Lake Lighthouse Festival and Car Show - Mt Nebo, WV - Aug 25, 2018
Artisans and crafters from across the state will be showing off their skills, and there will be live Appalachian music, great food, entertainment, raffles, and a Classic Car Show. The Humane Society and local Animal Shelter will have kittens and puppies available for adoption, and there will be archery games and lighthouse tours available as well, as well as a number of activities for children like face painting and balloon animals. So much more fun can be had, so head on over!

Valley Fusion Festival - Capon Bridge, WV - Sep 7 to Sep 9, 2018

Fermentation Festival - Hillsboro, WV - Sep 8, 2018

Mothman Festival - Point Pleasant, WV - Sep 14 to Sep 16, 2018
Mothman Festival is an annual event held every third weekend in September that commemorates the 1966 Point Pleasant, West Virginia Mothman sighting, which gave birth to the infamous red-eyed winged legend. People from all over the world gather around charming Main Street to celebrate their favorite cryptid during this one of a kind event. Check out live music, snap a selfie with the Mothman Statue, take a private bus tour through the TNT area where the Mothman was spotted, and let the kiddos have some fun too, with face painting, an obstacle course, zip line, and more!

Hancock County Old Time Fair - New Manchester, WV - Sep 14 to Sep 16, 2018
Come enjoy a small, oldtime fair. Meet with local vendors that provide homemade food and handmade products. View the exhibit tent filled with many projects from the local 4-H members and home grown produce, quilts and art work from area residents. The VA 27th Civil War Reenactment Group will be on location as well. Activities include a tractor parade, tractor games, live entertainment, a baked goods contest, barnyard olympics, and much more. Friday admission is a non-perishable food item for the local food bank.

Parkersburg Paddlefest - Parkersburg, WV - Sep 14 to Sep 16, 2018
5th annual. Parkersburg Paddlefest is a fun-filled three-day festival dedicated to people-powered watercraft. Kayaks, Canoes, and Stand-up Paddleboards are welcome to come and participate in this unique event. Point Park, at the confluence of the Ohio and Little Kanawha Rivers, is the setting for the first two day’s activities, including the main day, Saturday. The weekend concludes with a lake excursion on Sunday at North Bend State Park Lake. Coincides with the Downtown Throwdown, a craft and BBQ event.

Music in the Mountains Festival - Marlinton, WV - Sep 14 to Sep 15, 2018
The Music in Mountains Festival will showcase and celebrate Appalachian culture and craft. This community-based, family-friendly event will bring together local artisans and musicians to provide an opportunity for the local community and visitors to experience Appalachian craft demonstrations, old time music and dance traditions along with regional food.

Harvest Moon Arts & Crafts Festival - Parkersburg, WV - Sep 15 to Sep 16, 2018
Celebrating 50+ years of live music, artists, demonstrations, exhibits, live entertainment, food, crafts, apple butter and kids inflatable. Held at City Park.

West Virginia Wine and Jazz Festival - Morgantown, WV - Sep 15 to Sep 16, 2018
Wine tasting and live music for admission of $20 per person per day (includes wine glass and tasting), held at Camp Muffly.

Fall Festival on the Avenue - Moundsville, WV - Sep 15, 2018

Elizabethtown Festival - Moundsville, WV - Sep 15, 2018
The Moundsville Center plays host to the Elizabethtown Festival to celebrate the traditions and customs of the past with bread-making, quilt displays, weaving, and many craft items. There will be demonstrations of historic trades, food and musical entertainment, cooking and baking contests, and more to provide fun for the whole family, with free admission!

King Coal Festival - Williamson, WV - Sep 15, 2018

    Hello, and good chilly September 1, 2015.

    I don’t see the Beckley, West Virginia listing of their Burlington United Methodist Church Pumpkin Harvest Festival. I see the Milton, WV Apple Harvest Festival.

    I am sure it will be held October 3rd and 4th this year, and it would increase participation if listed here. I have spoken to Sheila at the Beckley office.

    My husband and I are going to be vacationing the dates of October 17th thru the 22. Would you have a list of different Festival’s going on in your surrounding area’s within 50 miles or so. I would appreciate any help you could provide. We are coming from Florida. Thank you
