Calhoun Colt Show - Calhoun, MO - Sep 8 to Sep 10, 2017

Eureka Days - Eureka, MO - Sep 8 to Sep 10, 2017

National Harvest Festival - Branson, MO - Sep 13 to Oct 28, 2017
An annual event featuring over 125 visiting craftsmen, a barn dance, and Buck Taylor’s Cowboy Emporium.  Don’t miss the Wild West Show inspired by Buffalo Bill’s show.  See Kent Rollins demonstrate chuck wagon cooking along with cowboy stories, poetry and humor.  Also enjoy Chris Isaacs tales of cowboy life.  If you are into horses then see trainer Fred Woehl beautiful wild mustangs.  This is a must see event.

Saint Charles Oktoberfest - Saint Charles, MO - Sep 22 to Sep 24, 2017
A family friendly festival to celebrate the community and German heritage. Local bands and German bands on the entertainment schedule. Wiener dog races, brat eating contest, parade, 5K and one mile fun run, and kids zone. No admission fee. You must buy a $2 wrist band to purchase alcohol. A donation of $5 to KEEN, a non-proift in St. Louis serving disabled kids, allows children to paint their own pumpkin, jump in the bounce houses and get their face painting in the kids zone. The event is held at Frontier Park off Riverside Drive, located between the Historic Downtown District and the Missouri River. Location: 500 S Riverside Dr, Saint Charles, MO 63301

Lee’s Summit Oktoberfest - Lee's Summit, MO - Sep 22 to Sep 23, 2017
70,000 are expected in Downtown Lee’s Summit for Oktoberfest to enjoy the German meals, three stages of entertainment, dancers, biergarten, carnival, arts and crafts. It has been held for more than 20 years. Contests include a home brew beer competition, wiener dog race and baby contest. Kids street has contests for kids, crafts such as pumpkin decorating, and free activities.

St. Louis Scottish Games - Chesterfield, MO - Sep 29 to Sep 30, 2017
Masters World Championships featuring more than 150 highland athletes from around the world. Bagpipes, celtic rock and folk music, crafts, goods, food, drink, highland dancing, sheepdog trials, sword fighting, birds of prey, kids activities and much more.

Jefferson City Oktoberfest - Jefferson City, MO - Sep 29 to Sep 30, 2017
Celebrate Jefferson City’s German heritage with this fall festival. The annual Oktoberfest hosted by the Old Munichburg Association includes live music, dancers, beer/wine garden serving authentic food, demonstrations, kids games, hot rod/classic car show, dachshund costume contest and derby. They are expanding it to include Friday evening this year, with a German dinner hosted by the Central United Church of Christ and live music & beer garden on Washington Street. Weekends in Hermann have been packed with events for Missouri Oktoberfest seekers. The Hermannhof Festhalle on East First Street has wine, beer and brats. The German Bier Garten at Sesquicentennial Park on Gutenberg Street has food, beer and live music. Breweries, wineries and other clubs/locations have special events planned as well. The Arts & Crafts festival is on the second weekend of October. Festival is held in historic downtown New Madrid, Missouri.  There will be a youth fishing rodeo, beauty pageant, car truck & bike show, washers tournament, petting zoo, bouncy house, vendors, food, and of course the big catfish weigh-in.

Pumpkin Daze - Republic, MO - Oct 7, 2017
Come to downtown Republic and view the giant 400 pound pumpkins, meet the growers, shop the craft booths, enjoy the foods such as hamburgers, ice cream, hot dogs, and cotton candy.  A fun event for all.

11th annual event in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Workshop, fiber arts display and vendor booths. Free admission. Held at Community Christian Church and sponsored by the Lake Area Fiber Artists.

Oktoberfest in Cole Camp - Cole Camp, MO - Oct 14, 2017
Cole Camp, a historic town on the National Register of Historic Places, has been holding this event for more than ten years. It includes traditional German food and beer, gun show, bicycle tour and antique farm machinery displays (tractors and old engines). They also have a wine and beer tasting. The Prairie Day event, held at the same time, includes hayrides, nature exhibits, kids games, banjo concerts and star gazing in the evening.

A twice yearly celebration of old time music with bluegrass, mountain and americana. The parade is the longest running parade in the state of Missouri at 87 years and counting. Free admission.

Missouri Day Festival - Trenton, MO - Oct 20 to Oct 22, 2017
Over 15,000 attend the largest Trenton festival of the year. Started in 1984, it honors the history of Missouri. Parade, car show and marching band festival.

35th Annual German Living Historic Festival on Historic Luxenhaus Farm.

Louisiana Country Colorfest - Louisiana, MO - Oct 21 to Oct 22, 2017
Many activities to watch or participate in at this Colorfest.  Watch the fireman’s challenge.  Enjoy the Baby Show or Pageants like the Jr. Miss, Little Mr. & Miss, and Miss Louisiana show.  Also they host a Louisana’s Got Talent contest.  Oh did we mention the Car Show and the separate Motorcycle Show.  

Pumpkins & Mums Fall Festival - Excelsior Springs, MO - Oct 21, 2017
Lots of crafters, vendors, kids activities, pumpkin painting, carnival games and rides, pony rides, petting zoo, and of course great food.

Dogtober Fest - Blue Springs, MO - Oct 22, 2017
Free admission to this annual event with trail dog-walks, contests and games, workshops, demonstrations, and many more canine events.  Donations welcomed.

Citizen Jane Film Festival - Columbia, MO - Oct 26 to Oct 29, 2017
A diverse festival featuring the works of female filmmakers. Premiered in 2008.

Kimmswick Applebutter Festival - Kimmswick, MO - Oct 28 to Oct 29, 2017
More than 100,000 visitors annually. Help stir the apple butter. Live musical entertainment in the park. More than 500 food, drink and craft vendors line the streets. For kids, a miniature train, petting zoo and pony rides.

St. Louis International Film Festival - St. Louis, MO - Nov 2 to Nov 12, 2017
24th annual event with more than 200 screenings and programs.

Veterans Homecoming Week - Branson, MO - Nov 5 to Nov 11, 2017

Grunauer Oktoberfest - Kansas City, MO - Sep 30, 2016
annual Kansas City Oktoberfest with live music, German food and beer. Advance tickets are $12 for the weekend and include your first beer. $15 at door. Featured foods are bratwurst, porkhoit with rye, brazen, gulaschsuppe, bread pudding, and bayerische crème.

    October 5 in historic downtown New Madrid, Missouri. The 3rd Annual New Madrid Fall Festival will be held in conjunction with the Bass Pro Shop’s Big Cat Quest Tournament as well as the Rendezvous On The River (a pre-1840 mountain man event). There will be a youth fishing rodeo, beauty pageant, car truck & bike show, washers tournament, petting zoo, bouncy house, vendors, food, and of course the big catfish weigh-in. New vendors and events added weekly, huge event. For more information call 877-748-5300. Craft vendors still accepted $15 for 10×10 outdoor space.
