2024 Festivals

Taste of the Catskills - Delhi, NY - Oct 12 to Oct 13, 2024
This festival showcases the food, beer, crafts, and wine of the region. Plenty of kids activities, plus cooking workshops, live entertainment, Catskill Puppets, celebrities and a Farm Olympics competition. The festival ends with a harvest dinner and bonfire.

Oktoberfest NY - Irondequoit, NY - Sep 6 to Sep 14, 2019
Their annual Oktoberfest party at Camp Eastman along Lake Ontario with two weekends of live music and special children’s activities. Tickets are $8. Children under six are free when accompanied by adult.

Chuseok Korean Moon Festival - Flushing, NY - Sep 7 to Sep 8, 2019
Celebrating South Korean culture, and riding the globally popular “Korean Wave” of pop culture, this event features musical entertainment with K-pop performances, Korean products, food vendors, and more! Free with $10 parking.

Cystic Fibrosis Cycle for Life – Saratoga Springs - Greenfield Center, NY - Sep 22, 2019
CF Cycle for Life is a fully-supported ride with different route options. From breakfast to the cycle post party, you can enjoy fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, bike mechanics for bicycle maintenance and repair, ride marshals to cheer you along the way and plenty of support vehicles to help you complete the ride. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, emotional and powerful way.

Chalkfest Buffalo - Buffalo, NY - Jul 29 to Jul 30, 2023
The event will be both inside and outside of the GLF grain silos at Buffalo Riverworks as well as inside the silos next to the Michigan Street Bridge and outside the front of the hockey rinks! Outside on the blacktop artists will be able to draw their creations under the urban zipline course and out front of the hockey rinks. Inside the grain elevators & silos gives artists a smooth concrete canvas that is protected from the elements of weather. It also gives artists the ability to draw not just on the ground, but on the walls of the historic silos. This is not just a unique opportunity for artists, but a uniquely Buffalo opportunity as the historic grain elevators were invented here and have largely gone abandoned for the past few decades.

Hester Street Fair - New York, NY - Sep 2 to Sep 3, 2023

National Buffalo Wing Festival - Buffalo, NY - Sep 2 to Sep 3, 2023

Tugboat Roundup - Waterford, NY - Sep 8 to Sep 10, 2023
A free event for the whole family with lots of tugboat demonstrations and rides, plus face painting, puppet show, food, crafts, pony rides, and Saturday night fireworks.

Albacon - Albany, NY - Sep 8 to Sep 10, 2023
Albacon is a gathering of fans and creators of science fiction, fantasy, games, anime, web comics and pretty much anything geek related. They are not limited to literature but include movies, games, costumes, and almost anything else you can think of. Come for one day or all weekend. There will be panel discussions, art exhibits, dealers, interviews, films, games, readings, autographs! Plus lots of just hanging out with other people who share your interests and individual discussions. Hed at the Ramada Plaza in Albany.

Long Island Fair - Old Bethpage, NY - Sep 8 to Sep 10, 2023
Contests and competitions including poetry, corn husking, competitive exhibits, and more. Children’s activities include races, games, farmer for a day, and more. All kinds of fair food is available. Located at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration. Free parking with free shuttle, head to 48S Service Road, just off exit 48 of the Long Island Expressway (follow signs and attendant directions).

Macedon Center Lumberjack Festival - Macedon, NY - Sep 9 to Sep 10, 2023
Amateur Lumberjack competition on Saturday includes log rolling, two-man cross cut, buck saw, chain saw, log chop and fire starting. Sunday is the pro competition with ax throwing, hot saw, two man crosscut, spring board and more. Also has Lumberjack pancake breakfast, petting zoo with pony rides, craft and collectibles sale. Held at the Firemen’s Field on Canandaigua Road. Parking is free and handicapped accessible. Admission is only $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for sr. citizens, $1.00 for kids 6-14 and 5 and under are free. It is sponsored by the Macedon Center Fire Dept. and the Macedon Center United Methodist Church.

Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival - Norwich, NY - Sep 9 to Sep 10, 2023
