Native Nations Festival - Painted Post, NY - Sep 16 to Sep 17, 2023
Formerly the Falling Leaves Festival, this fest takes place at the Watson Homestead, with a free educational day Firday for local students to learn about Native American Culture through a sacred fire, traditional dancing and drumming, demonstrations, and other activities. The two weekend days are free (including parking) and open to the public, with a traditional ceremony, sacred fire, traditional dancing, drumming, music, vendors, food, and demonstrations.

Palmyra Canaltown Days - Palmyra, NY - Sep 16 to Sep 17, 2023
Over 100 craft booths, 70 market vendors, and food for all tastes. Promotional items are available for souvenirs. Wagon rides, guided tours, village museums, and antique shops. Free parking at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on W Jacson Street, with shuttles to the festival.

Rochester Fringe Festival - Rochester, NY - Sep 12 to Sep 23, 2023
Twelve days with over 500 performances attended by over 60,000 people make this a popular annual event. Festival has theatre, music, dance, children’s entertainment, visual arts and lots more. Multiple venues in Rochester’s East End participate.

Macedon Center Lumberjack Festival - Macedon, NY - Sep 9 to Sep 10, 2023
Amateur Lumberjack competition on Saturday includes log rolling, two-man cross cut, buck saw, chain saw, log chop and fire starting. Sunday is the pro competition with ax throwing, hot saw, two man crosscut, spring board and more. Also has Lumberjack pancake breakfast, petting zoo with pony rides, craft and collectibles sale. Held at the Firemen’s Field on Canandaigua Road. Parking is free and handicapped accessible. Admission is only $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for sr. citizens, $1.00 for kids 6-14 and 5 and under are free. It is sponsored by the Macedon Center Fire Dept. and the Macedon Center United Methodist Church.
