Great Fall Festival and Walkathon - Englewood, NJ - Oct 15 to Oct 15, 2023
The Great Fall Festival celebrates autumn with seasonal activities on the beautiful grounds of Flat Rock Brook. This festival is free for members and includes delicious barbecue, live music, and activities. There are games, crafts and pumpkin painting for children. Education staff leads activities to keep kids busy and having fun! Live bluegrass music entertains the whole family throughout the festival.

Pumpkin Fest - Whippany, NJ - Oct 1 to Oct 15, 2023
Join in the Halloween fun at the Whippany Railway Museum onboard “The Pumpkin Patch Train” ! The 10-mile, 45-minute round trip from Whippany to Roseland and return is the perfect way to spend a Fall afternoon with the family. Your ticket entitles you to pick your own pumpkin after the ride at their Pumpkin Patch and enjoy the seasonal fun. Ticket also includes a pumpkin decorating kit. Children of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes, where they can mingle with zombies and ghosts, helping to make the train a spooky sight!

Canceled for 2021, look for their return in 2022. Normally: A fun filled evening of music, dancing, entertainment, food and drink. Authentic Oktoberfest Food and Beverage includes Bavarian buffet, coffee, and cake plus unlimited select German beverages and soda. Music by the Austrian Boys along with Bavarian Entertainment with Schuhplattler and Volkstanz performances. Doors open at 6:30 with dinner between 6:30 and 7:30, with music starting at 7:30. Tickets are $40 per person with ages 13 to 20 priced at $22, ages 6 to 12 at $12, and 5 and under free. A $1 per adult ticket convenience fee will apply for Paypal, debit or credit card purchases.
