Due to COVID-19, this popular music festival is canceled for 2020. Initially, it was rescheduled from April to October 2020. Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is two subsequent weekends hosted at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. It stems from a Pearl Jam concert in protest of Ticketmaster venues which showed the Polo Club was a good site for large scale events, leading to the first Coachella Festival in 1999, featuring artists like Beck and Rage Against the Machine. While no festival was held in 2000, it has been held continuously since, with slight changes in format, including years where the festival consisted of a single two-day weekend. The festival features popular headliners, reuniting music groups, and new acts. Acts include musical acts from different genres including pop, EDM (electronic dance music), rock, indie and hip hop. Visual arts, including large art installations and statues, are also part of the show each year. The 2020 festival was scheduled to feature the return of headliner Rage Against the Machine, plus Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Lana Del Rey, and more. Ticketholders with 2020 passes will have their passes honored at the April 2021 event.

Beginning in 2007, this country music act features acts from folk, bluegrass, roots rock, mainstream and alternative country. It now follows Coachella as the third consecutive weekend of festival fun held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. The 2020 festival was scheduled to feature talent such as Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Billy Ray Cyrus, Bryan Adams, and many more. Ticketholders with 2020 passes will have their admission transferred to the 2021 show, or can request a refund. More information will be sent out via email by the event organizers.
