Maysville Country Harvest - Maysville, MO - Aug 10 to Aug 13, 2023
Previously held in September. An annual event first held in 1996 after residents responded to a community survey requesting a weekend festival. Festivities include a homemade scarecrow contest, panty hose bowling, several eating contests, lip sync battle, pancake breakfast, 5K, kids’ activities, parade, pumpkin bowline, dance demonstration, live entertainment and more.

Kansas City Irish Fest - Kansas City, MO - Sep 1 to Sep 3, 2023
One of the three largest irish festivals in the nation. 30 Celtic rock and traditional Irish bands on 7 stages. Massive children’s area, plus heritage workshops and displays, geneology, comedy, and more!

Kansas City Chalk & Walk Festival - Kansas City, MO - Sep 2 to Sep 3, 2023
A multi-cultural celebration of the arts. Street performers, paintings, workshops, Children’s Creative Corridor. Free admission.

Dancefestopia - La Cygne, KS - Sep 4 to Sep 10, 2023
This event features non-stop musical entertainment on 3 stages for 3 days and four nights. Also available to enjoy are canoe trips, helicopter rides, fireworks, art, camping, and showers plus over 35 headlining performers.

Concordia Fall Festival - Concordia, MO - Sep 5 to Sep 9, 2023
Thousands visit this themed festival every year held the first week after Labor Day, which started as a public Market Day in 1898. Queen contest, three parades, exhibits, bake sales and contests plus carnival rides like a carousel, ferris wheel, giant slide and more.

Calhoun Colt Show - Calhoun, MO - Sep 8 to Sep 10, 2023
It features 3 days of events from art, farm, orchard, flowers, baby show, car show, pet parade and more. Also Equine events, beer garden, carnival, church services, contests, night time music and lots of vendors. Since 1909.

Blue Springs Fall Festival - Blue Springs, MO - Sep 15 to Sep 17, 2023
Feast on turkey legs, funnel cakes, BBQ Sunday, kettle corn, shaved ice, resh lemonade and more whie enjoying a carnival, parade, petting zoo, and two stages of entertainment. Shuttles are available from parking areas.

Waldo Fall Festival - Kansas City, MO - Sep 16 to Sep 16, 2023
Free family-friendly event with kids’ rides, games, food trucks, live & local music, vendors, face painting and more. The festival is located in the CVS parking lot at 75th Street and Wornall Road.

Lee’s Summit Oktoberfest - Lee's Summit, MO - Sep 22 to Sep 23, 2023
70,000 are expected in Downtown Lee’s Summit for Oktoberfest to enjoy the German meals, three stages of entertainment, dancers, biergarten, carnival, arts and crafts. It has been held for more than 20 years. Contests include a home brew beer competition, wiener dog race and baby contest. Kids street has contests for kids, crafts such as pumpkin decorating, and free activities.

Liberty Fall Festival - Liberty, MO - Sep 22 to Sep 24, 2023
Carnival, parade, vendors selling everything from food, arts & crafts, and farmer’s market, plus music, dancing and entertainment. They have a mobile app again this year with a map and schedule (Palaroo). Since 1934.

Louisburg Ciderfest - Louisburg, KS - Sep 23 to Oct 1, 2023
45th annual. Louisburg Cider Mill has good old fashioned apple cider fun for two weekends every autumn. It is always held on the last weekend in September and the first weekend in October. There is no admission or parking fees to attend Ciderfest. Activities begin with the pancake breakfast and continue with pony rides, inflatable slide, cider and donut-making and craft booths until 6 pm. You can also take part in all their normal fall activities, like their 10 acre corn maze and their PYO pumpkin patch (admission fee may apply).

St John’s Oktoberfest - Lawrence, KS - Sep 23 to Sep 23, 2023
Live German band as well as kids games. 26 kegs of beer from 4 different Paulaner beers, and Angry Orchard Crisp Hard Cider. Looks like beer starts at 3 PM and food starts at 4 PM. Since 1997.

Children’s activities include pumpkin painting, pony rides, face painting and carnival games. Adult admission is $1. Kids under 15 are free. Free parking.

Family Fall Festival - Overland Park, KS - Oct 14 to Oct 14, 2023
Fun for the whole family. Carnival games, clowns, face painting, huge kites, inlatables, petting zoo, free ice cream, and more. Bring a non-perishable food item or cleaning product for donation to the Blue Valley Multiservice Center.

Missouri Day Festival - Trenton, MO - Oct 20 to Oct 21, 2023
The Missouri Day Festival is the largest festival of the year for Trenton. Sponsored by the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce, it is held the third weekend in October each year. This event draws thousands of people to the Trenton area. This is a family-friendly event that hosts activities for persons of every age. Adults and children alike can shop with nearly 120 different vendors who come from all over the United States. Many vendors return year after year for this well-attended event. Come on out to play, eat and just have fun. In conjunction with the festival, there is also a marching band competition for high schools throughout Missouri. Also offers parade, 15-20 food vendors, children amusements, and much more!!

Free admission (with donation of canned or dry dog food) to this event with trail dog-walks, contests and games, workshops, demonstrations, and many more canine events. Don’t forget to bring your pup!

Mildale Farm Fall Fest - Edgerton, KS - Oct 28 to Oct 28, 2023
Bring the family and spend the day exploring the Mildale Farm property and enjoying a number of fall activities during this free public event. In addition to 136 acres of future parkland, the site includes the 22-acre Mildale Farm that is usually only accessible by reservation and is one of the region’s premier venues for weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats and other special occasions. Visitors will be directed to park in the large parking lot near Mildale Farm’s main barn which features peg construction and a hand-laid brick floor. Nearby, they’ll find cider and hot cocoa and a large pumpkin patch. A tractor-drawn shuttle will take visitors to a fire circle in the south-central portion of the Mildale site, where they can roast marshmallows and enjoy storytelling. There will also be tractor-drawn hayrides and catch-and-release fishing in any of our seven ponds within the 158-acre area, so bring your own bait and tackle. While District fishing permits have been waived for this event, anglers 16 and older will still need to have a valid Kansas fishing license.

Legendary Tree Lighting Ceremony at Legends Outlets - Kansas City, KS - Nov 11 to Nov 11, 2023
Kick off the holiday season with a live concert, prize giveaways, complimentary hot cocoa, fun photo ops, special deals, and family-friendly activities such as face painting, balloon animals, roaming character appearances, photos with Santa, and more. The lighting ceremony will take place in the Center Courtyard at approximately 6 PM, but festivities will continue until 8 PM. Legends Outlets’ 45-foot Christmas tree, with 2,000 ornaments is synchronized to music, and will continue to brighten spirits until early January, 2022.
