The festival honors Moina Belle Michael, known as the Poppy Lady. She was born in Good Hope and used the red corn poppy as a symbol to honor fallen troops in World War I – it is now a tradition used to honor servicemen worldwide. Festival runs from 9 AM – 5 PM. Includes bike ride, more than 50 vendors, food from local cooks, old-fashioned hayride and more.
