Festival of the Rivers - Hinton, WV - Aug 10 to Aug 10, 2019
It will be a full day of live music, local artists, vendors, a car show, food and fun! The Campbell-Flannagan-Murrell House Museum on Summers Street has organized the Festival of the Rivers since 2004. This 15th year the Museum is happy to be joining 2nd Saturday’s organization. Festival of the Rivers has been held at the Freight Depot during the Labor Day weekend, but this year it will be held on the 2nd Saturday in August on the grounds behind the Memorial Building, along 2nd Avenue and down into town. Live music will begin at 12:30 PM and continue until 9:00PM. The headliner band (to be announced) will begin at 7:00 PM. Blues, Grass-roots, and traditional musicians show the world the influence of Appalachian music.

Held at Yew Mountain Center. Eat, attend workshops, and enjoy music! The morning kicks off with a guided hike on foraging, then cheese making demonstraition. Learn about dyeing and cider, then kombucha before a Korean feast. Select activities have fees, but you can select which ones you would like to particpate in.

Mothman Festival - Point Pleasant, WV - Sep 21 to Sep 22, 2019
Mothman Festival is an annual event held every third weekend in September that commemorates the 1966 Point Pleasant, West Virginia Mothman sighting, which gave birth to the infamous red-eyed winged legend. People from all over the world gather around charming Main Street to celebrate their favorite cryptid during this one of a kind event. Check out live music, snap a selfie with the Mothman Statue, take a private bus tour through the TNT area where the Mothman was spotted, and let the kiddos have some fun too, with face painting, an obstacle course, zip line, and more!
