What started out as a handful of collector cars on display at Millennium Plaza in 2000 has grown to become one of the Region’s best known shows with free admission and shuttles for everyone. Mount Angel Oktoberfest - Mount Angel, OR - Sep 17 to Sep 20, 2020
This Oregon Oktoberfest has a traditional biergarten, weingarten and alpinegarten as well as over 50 Alpine food chalets. Live music on four stages with over 30 musical groups performing. Large arts & crafts show as well as the Cruz-n Car Show. Kindergarten with free rides and shows. Glockenspiel plays 4 times a day and there’s dancing in the streets on Friday and Saturday night. Hood River Hops Fest - Hood River, OR - Sep 26 to Sep 26, 2020
Since 2003, Hood River County, surrounded by world renowned hop growing regions, has hosted brewers each September who share their fresh-hop beer creations. More than 50 breweries offering more than 60 fresh-hop beers, plus a variety of food vendors, live music, and a collectible mug, are yours to enjoy for a beer garden ticket price of $15 (21+, presale rate – under 21 free but only allowed until 5pm). A portion of proceeds are given back to the community’s non-profit organizations.

St Josef Grapestomping Festival - Canby, OR - Sep 26 to Sep 27, 2020
Grapestomping in 1200 gallon oak barrels, dancing, 400 lbs of sausages and sauerkraut, drinks, and more. Admission is $10 per person and includes souvenir glass, and you may even get picked to stomp the grapes with a partner!

Old Apple Tree Festival - Vancouver, WA - Oct 3 to Oct 3, 2020
Celebrate the oldest living apple tree in the Northwest, planted at Fort Vancouver in 1826. Enjoy the trees, apples, and cider amidst the National Historic Site setting, plus live music, tree care workshops, tours of the Vancouver land bridge, kids activities, apple press (bring clean apples and containers to participate) and more! A limited number of tree cuttings from the Old Apple Tree will also be distributed.

Normaly: BirdFest and Bluegrass is the main event every year that the Friends puts on to bring awareness to Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, and all that it has to offer. Celebrate the Sandhill Crane returning to the Refuge, a huge stately bird that is endangered in Washington State, and celebrate everything the Refuge is and what it brings to the community. With endangered species, hundreds of migratory species, an auto tour route, photo blind, walking trails, the Cathlapotle Plankhouse, education and habitat restoration programs, and so much more – there is a lot to celebrate, and a lot to learn. There are workshops, hikes and walks all catered to teach you how to use the Refuge. You can learn how to listen for bird species, identify plants, about the geology of the area, the peoples who came before us and still tend to the land, how to take photos of it all, paint the landscape, and much more.

Kids area with bouncy houses, face painting and more make this event fun for the whole family. Adult tickets are $6 a day. Discounts for seniors and military. Kids under 12 are free. A portion of the proceeds are donated to non-profit organizations in the community.
