Mount Angel Oktoberfest - Mount Angel, OR - Sep 12 to Sep 15, 2024
This Oregon Oktoberfest has a traditional biergarten, weingarten and alpinegarten as well as over 50 Alpine food chalets. Live music on four stages with over 30 musical groups performing. Large arts & crafts show as well as the Cruz-n Car Show. Kindergarten with free rides and shows. Glockenspiel plays 4 times a day and there’s dancing in the streets on Friday and Saturday night. There’s also a golf tournament, volleyball tournament, 10K run and 5K run/walk. Location: 5 Garfield St, Mount Angel, OR

Almost 60 years of this time-honored tradition. This evening of cheer includes caroling, performances from local high schools and Millennium Concert Band, sweet treats and more. Gather at the corner of 5th Street & A Avenue to light the Bigelow Plaza Holiday Tree, then parade down to Millennium Plaza Park to enjoy the lighting of the Millennium Tree. The evening is completed by the Lake Oswego Fire Department’s delivery of a very special guest from the North Pole.

BirdFest and Bluegrass is the main event every year that the Friends puts on to bring awareness to Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, and all that it has to offer. Celebrate the Sandhill Crane returning to the Refuge, a huge stately bird that is endangered in Washington State, and celebrate everything the Refuge is and what it brings to the community. With endangered species, hundreds of migratory species, an auto tour route, photo blind, walking trails, the Cathlapotle Plankhouse, education and habitat restoration programs, and so much more – there is a lot to celebrate, and a lot to learn. There are workshops, hikes and walks all catered to teach you how to use the Refuge. You can learn how to listen for bird species, identify plants, about the geology of the area, the peoples who came before us and still tend to the land, how to take photos of it all, paint the landscape, and much more.
