Dallas Fall Festivals – Fall 2020 TX Events

AnimeFest and GameFest - Dallas, TX - Aug 14 to Aug 17, 2020
AnimeFest has offerings for fans of anime, manga, games and other pop culture offerings, including an art show, autographs, charity auction, cosplay, dances, panels and workshops, video contest, library, gaming, and more. GameFest is for those who love board games, tabletop RPGs, video games and more. World Fandom operates AnimeFest and GameFest on the same weekend at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, and is supported by memberships whose primary benefit is admission to both events. Annual memberships are sold in the months leading up to the event, with discounts available to those who order early. Youth (8-12) and child (0-7) memberships and adult one-day memberships are also available.

Dallas Carnival - Grand Prairie, TX - Sep 17 to Sep 20, 2020
An offshoot of the annual pre-Lenten celebrations held in many former European colonies in Latin America and the Caribbean with large Catholic populations, the most renowned being the Carnival celebrations in Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago.

GrapeFest - Grapevine, TX - Sep 17 to Sep 20, 2020
Annual event for over 30 years. The Grapevine Wine Festival includes a People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic with 100+ wine samples from 40+ Texas wineries so that guests can choose their favorite. The GrapeStomp competition is very popular.

Plano Balloon Festival - Plano, TX - Sep 18 to Sep 20, 2020
Event takes place at Oak Point Park. 45 hot air balloons, sky divers, live music, fireworks, and kids fun zone. Tethered balloon rides available for $15-20 per person. 1/2 Marathon, 5K and 1K runs. General admission is $5. Parking is $5-10.

Texas State Fair - Dallas, TX - Sep 25 to Oct 18, 2020
This fair commemorates 130+ years of celebrating all things Texan by honoring agriculture and livestock.

MuckFest - Parker, CO - Sep 26 to Sep 26, 2020
Experience the muddy shenanigans, epic spills, and FUN-draising with a team in this Mud Run for the National MS Society, to raise funds towards Multiple Sclerosis research. This year’s run in Denver is held at the Salisbury North. Enjoy a free bear or soda in the MuckFestival area afterwards. Spectators are free, and little ones can play in the free Lil’ Muckers play area.

East Texas Yamboree - Gilmer, TX - Jan 1 to Oct 17, 2020
Canceled for 2020, look for their return in 2021. Normally: Activities at Yamboree Park, Courthouse Square, Gilmer Elementary, and Wesley House. This is one of the longest running events in Texas, with well over 100,000 people attending each year to enjoy rides, Queen’s Coronation pageant, barn dance with live country music, parade, gospel singing, vendors, art & photography shows, food, football, and more.
