Creedmoor Music Festival - Creedmoor, NC - Sep 16, 2017

Lafayette Village Oktoberfest - Raleigh, NC - Sep 16, 2017
Enjoy German food, local craft beer, live music and wiener dog races at this village located on six acres in North Raleigh. There are also kids’ games, crafts and door prizes. Lafayette Village is designed to resemble a European village with quaint shops, gourmet restaurants and paved walkways.

Triad German Club Oktoberfest - Winston-Salem, NC - Sep 30, 2017
This Winston-Salem Oktoberfest is hosted by the Triad German Club and includes live music, traditional German food and beer. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Food and beverage tickets are sold separate. Food includes items such as bratwurst, wieners, rippchen, sauerkraut, potato salad, homemade pastries and pretzel rolls. Triangle Oktoberfest - Cary, NC - Oct 6 to Oct 7, 2017
The Rotary Clubs of Apex Sunrise and Cary MacGregor, and the Town of Cary, are joining together for this Triangle-wide event. Enjoy family-friendly activities such as music from New York-based The Polka Brothers and Peak City Sound, and dancing, traditional Bavarian food and fare, wiener dog races, a yodeling contest, and the Mass Krug Stemmen (stein hoist competition). Also featuring Oktoberfest beers from Munich as well as local craft breweries. Proceeds help support the Rotary Clubs and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Children 16 and younger are free. Friday tickets: $15. Saturday tickets: $20, or $15 after 6 p.m. Discounts available for seniors and military personnel. Held at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary, NC 27518. Brushy Mountain Apple Festival - Wilkesboro, NC - Oct 7, 2017
One of the largest one-day arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast. Free admission. 4 different music stages, folk dancers and other live entertainment. Attended by over 160,000. Activities begin on Friday night with the “Apple Jam.”

Duck Jazz Festival - Duck, NC - Oct 7 to Oct 8, 2017
Free festival showcasing national, regional and local jazz musicians in Duck Town Park.  Bring your food coolers, chairs, blankets, pets and kids to this family friendly event.  Downtown business including eateries are open to help you enjoy this great event.

Asheville Oktoberfest - Asheville, NC - Oct 7, 2017
This Oktoberfest mixes Bavaria with Asheville. Local breweries, oompah band, Oktoberfest games and food. Only 3000 tickets will be sold. Ticket prices escalate as the event approaches (starting at $25 per person) and they expect them to sell out. Oktoberfest contests like the stein race and keg-rolling contest will be back, as well as new competitions to keep everyone on their toes. The Stratton Mountain Boys will be yodeling and playing Polka music on the stage. Location: Coxe Avenue, Asheville, NC

Columbus County Fair - Whiteville, NC - Oct 10 to Oct 15, 2017

North Carolina State Fair - Raleigh, NC - Oct 11 to Oct 22, 2017
Nearly one million attend each year. Folk festival, fireworks, flower & garden show, local wine and craft beer exhibit, grandstand shows and more.  Held annually at State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raleigh, NC.

Autumn Leaves Festival - Mount Airy, NC - Oct 13 to Oct 15, 2017
50th anniversary event. Nearly 200,000 typically attend over the course of the weekend. Toe tapping, foot stomping, hand-clapping music with arts & crafts and great food choices. Known for its old time Bluegrass and Gospel music.  Admission is free.

mumfest - New Bern, NC - Oct 13 to Oct 15, 2017
Enjoy the 36th annual event attended by more than 90,000 every fall to enjoy the family fun, entertainment, foods and attractions.  Country music artists perform at Tryon Palace.

17DAYS Festival - Greensboro, NC - Oct 13 to Oct 29, 2017
Experience over 100 main events during this 17 day festival.  Activities include music, theater, dance, storytelling, art, and cultural activities.  Enjoy local wine and brew tastings plus great food.

Hickory Oktoberfest - Hickory, NC - Oct 13 to Oct 15, 2017
A three day outdoor festival on the second weekend in October generally attended by more than 100,000 people. Get your exercise in with a 5K run/walk OR 10K run. Consume a beverage in one of the two beer gardens. Multiple stages offer live music from polka to rock & roll. Juried arts and crafts show of handmade products offers prizes to the top three artisans. First prize is $300, second prize is $200 and third prize is $100. Amusement rides, carnival games and KidFest area for children. Hundreds of food and commercial vendors will be there offering delicious food from barbecue to Bavarian pastries, as well as unique products and art. Sugar Mountain Resort Oktoberfest - Village of Sugar Mountain, NC - Oct 14 to Oct 15, 2017
26th annual Oktoberfest with fall foliage and a weekend of festival activities. The Harbour Town Fest Band will be filling the area with live music and Bavarian atmosphere from the Oom Pah Band every afternoon. The Avery Smooth Dancers and the Mountain Laurel Cloggers will get you out of your seat and moving with them. Bavarian food will include bratwurst, knockwurst sauerkraut, pretzels, strudel and Spaten Oktoberfest beer. This is a family friendly event with arts & crafts and children’s fun center (including inflatable bounce houses and hay rides). Admission is free. Free parking with shuttle service. Pets are welcome if they are on a leash, but they will not be allowed inside or on the deck. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views and fall colors with a ski chairlift ride. Round trip ride takes 45 minutes and costs $12 for a one-time ride or $25 for an all-day ticket.

For over 20 years LEAF has put on this non profit event filled with art, crafts, learning experience, food and lots of local live music concerts.

Appalachian Harvest Festival - Robbinsville, NC - Oct 20 to Oct 22, 2017
Three day harvest festival with free Friday evening campfire and music jam, 5K race and one mile fun run, live music, demonstrations of apple cider pressing, and more.  Admission only $3 for adults, kids and parking are free.

Carolina Balloon Fest - Statesville, NC - Oct 20 to Oct 22, 2017
Watch 50 hot air balloons. Tethered balloon rides are $5-10. Proceeds from the event benefit local nonprofits.  Live music entertainment on 2 stages, plus a kids zone, artisan marketplace, 5k run, wine and beer tasting and more.

Autumn with Topsail - Topsail Beach, NC - Oct 21 to Oct 22, 2017

Yadkin Valley Grape Festival - Yadkinville, NC - Oct 21, 2017
Their 12th annual festival with live entertainment, food, fun, and of course wine events.  Wine tasting tickets are $15 (advance) and $20 (door).

Onslow Oktoberfest - Jacksonville, NC - Oct 26 to Oct 28, 2017
The community fundraiser for Onslow Community Outreach includes live music and 5K run. Children’s area offers entertainment, amusement rides, games, micro racing, animal park and home improvement workbench/clinics. The festival was started in 2008. Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair - Fletcher, NC - Oct 27 to Oct 29, 2017
Fleece show, workshops, demonstrations, shopping, contests and more. Held at the WNC Agricultural Center.  Children under 13 are free.

Barbecue Festival - Lexington, NC - Oct 28, 2017
Free admission for over 100,000 people to the barbecue capital of the world.  Great food, live entertainment, and the finest exhibits along with a wine garden, barbecue carnival, sand sculpture make this a fun day.

Lighthouse Beer & Wine Festival - Wilmington, NC - Oct 28, 2017
Sample from the 100 craft breweries and wineries in one place.  Held for over 15 years in Wrightsville Beach.

North Carolina Pecan Harvest Festival - Whiteville, NC - Oct 28 to Nov 4, 2017
Features the Columbus Cooks Pecan cooking contest, kid’s block, Tri Beach Cruisers car show, art show, boat show, festival food, craft demonstrations, 5k run, festival parade, and of course lots and lots of pecans.

Calabash Oktoberfest - Calabash, NC - Oct 28, 2017
Activities include Bavarian costume contest, arm wrestling contest, horse drawn carriage, best bier stein contest, and children’s entertainment. Enjoy authentic German food and Munich beer.

Colfax Persimmon Festival - Oak Ridge, NC - Nov 4, 2017
An annual event at the historic Stafford farm. A celebration of persimmon and historic farming. Admission fee is $7. $5 suggested donation for parking and shuttle.  Also enjoy the live music and demonstrations.

North Carolina Gourd Festival - Raleigh, NC - Nov 4 to Nov 5, 2017
Annual event at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. 70 categories of competition for gourd growers and crafters. Admission fees cover building rental and insurance.

Wilson Whirligig Festival - Wilson, NC - Nov 4 to Nov 5, 2017
12th annual event. 35,000 attend. Arts & crafts, food vendors, 5K, live music and contests. Recognized by the Southeast Tourism Society as one of its top 20 fall events.

WNC Pottery Festival - Dillsboro, NC - Nov 4, 2017
A juried art event with 40+ master potters. Demonstrations and silent auction. WNC Clay Olympics competition precedes the festival.

NC Comicon - Durham, NC - Nov 10 to Nov 12, 2017
Enjoy a weekend of fantasy, superheroes, wizards and cosplayers. Costume contest and film festival as well.

    Is it possible to add the “Welcome Home Veterans Festival 2017” to your site.
    This will be our first annual festival, to be located in Cherokee, NC – Sept 21 thru 24.
