North Carolina Rice Festival - Leland, NC - Mar 1 to Mar 3, 2019
Florence update – postponed until March 1-3, 2019 Rice cooking contest, live music, arts and crafts, art contest, kids play area and a beer garden. Held at Brunswick Riverwalk at Belville.

Shine to Wine Festival - North Wilkesboro, NC - Sep 17, 2016
12th annual event. Wine/beer/spirit tastings, live entertainment, art and food. General admission is free. Tasting ticket is $15 in advance or $20. It is held annually on the third Saturday in September.

Oktoberfest House Party - Cashiers, NC - Oct 15, 2016

Oktoberfest Happy Hour - Raleigh, NC - Sep 14, 2018

CenterFest Arts Festival - Durham, NC - Sep 15 to Sep 16, 2018
Florence update – canceled due to storm. They will be back in 2019, and are focusing on shifting the artists who would have come to the November show, the Durham Art Walk Holiday Market (Nov 17 & 18, 2018). Voted one of the top 100 fine arts festivals in the country.  Features continuous music, dance, entertainment by more than 70 performing acts.  Also a featured kids zone area for hands-on art activities and fun.

Carolina in the Fall - Wilkesboro, NC - Sep 21 to Sep 22, 2018
4th annual Music and Food Festival featuring the state’s best folk/roots music bands, plus a variety of bands from around the world, to entertain bluegrass and folk music lovers. 40th annual. One of the largest one-day arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast. Enjoy free admission to the event, which features 4 different music stages, dancers and other live entertainment, plus Appalachian Heritage crafts and more from over 425 arts and craft vendors, 100 food vendors, including everything Apple, and more. Attended by over 160,000. Activities begin on Friday night with the “Apple Jam.”

North Carolina Seafood Festival - Morehead City, NC - Oct 5 to Oct 7, 2018

This Oktoberfest mixes Bavaria with Asheville. Local breweries, oompah band, Oktoberfest games and food. Only 3000 tickets will be sold. Ticket prices escalate as the event approaches (starting at $25 per person) and they expect them to sell out. Oktoberfest contests like the stein race and keg-rolling contest will be back, as well as new competitions to keep everyone on their toes. Autumn Leaves Festival - Mount Airy, NC - Oct 12 to Oct 14, 2018
Nearly 200,000 typically attend over the course of the weekend. Toe tapping, foot stomping, hand-clapping music with arts & crafts and great food choices. Known for its old time Bluegrass and Gospel music.  Admission is free. One of North Carolina’s longest running events.

Annually attended by more than 100,000 who enjoy the family fun, entertainment, foods and attractions.

Hickory Oktoberfest - Hickory, NC - Oct 12 to Oct 14, 2018
A three day outdoor festival on the second weekend in October generally attended by more than 100,000 people. Get your exercise in with a 5K run/walk OR 10K run. Consume a beverage in one of the two beer gardens. Multiple stages offer live music from polka to rock & roll. Juried arts and crafts show of handmade products offers prizes to the top three artisans. First prize is $300, second prize is $200 and third prize is $100. Amusement rides, carnival games and KidFest area for children. Hundreds of food and commercial vendors will be there offering delicious food from barbecue to Bavarian pastries, as well as unique products and art. Pleasure Island Seafood Blues and Jazz Festival - Kure Beach, NC - Oct 13 to Oct 14, 2018
25th annual. A weekend of non stop musical talent on both the Jazz Stage and Blues Stage.  Enjoy the Arts & Wine Garden, crafts, wine tasting, delicious locally sourced seafood, and Kidz Zone.

Sugar Mountain Resort Oktoberfest - Village of Sugar Mountain, NC - Oct 13 to Oct 14, 2018
Annual Oktoberfest with fall foliage and a weekend of festival activities. The Harbour Town Fest Band will be filling the area with live music and Bavarian atmosphere from the Oom Pah Band every afternoon. The Avery Smooth Dancers and the Mountain Laurel Cloggers will get you out of your seat and moving with them. Bavarian food will include bratwurst, knockwurst sauerkraut, pretzels, strudel and Spaten Oktoberfest beer. This is a family friendly event with arts & crafts and children’s fun center (including inflatable bounce houses and hay rides). Admission is free. Free parking with shuttle service. Pets are welcome if they are on a leash, but they will not be allowed inside or on the deck. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views and fall colors with a ski chairlift ride. Round trip ride takes 45 minutes and costs $12 for a one-time ride or $25 for an all-day ticket.

Triad German Club Oktoberfest - Winston-Salem, NC - Oct 13, 2018
This Winston-Salem Oktoberfest is hosted by the Triad German Club and includes live music, traditional German food and beer. Tickets are $12 in advance and incudes a traditional German food platter. Food includes items such as bratwurst, wieners, rippchen, sauerkraut, potato salad, homemade pastries and pretzel rolls. Beverages, including German beer, are sold separately. A portion of the proceeds benefit schools with German language and culture programs.

Wings Over Water Wildlife Festival - , NC - Oct 16 to Oct 21, 2018
More than 400 avian species to spot on guided birding trips, art and photography workshops, tram tours, kayak and canoe tours, and more.  Over 100 guided programs for enthusiasts during this event. There is an encore event in December.

Lake Eden Arts Festival - Black Mountain, NC - Oct 18 to Oct 21, 2018
For over 20 years LEAF has put on this non profit event, filled with art, crafts, learning experiences, food and lots of local live music concerts. Enjoy two festivals each year, in May and October, on the beautiful grounds of Lake Eden at the site of the Historic Black Mountain College.

Stecoah Harvest Festival - Robbinsville, NC - Oct 19 to Oct 20, 2018
Two day harvest festival with free Friday evening campfire and music jam. Sarurday activities include live music, demonstrations of blaksmithing, butter churning, and corn-grinding; arts & crafts, country fair, quilt show, and more. Saturday admission is only $3 for adults, kids and parking are free. Held at Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center

Carolina Balloon Fest - Statesville, NC - Oct 19 to Oct 21, 2018
45th annual. Watch 50 hot air balloons rise to the skies! Enjoy tethered balloon rides for $5-10 – proceeds from the event benefit local nonprofits.  Live music entertainment on 2 stages, plus a kids’ zone, artisan marketplace, 5k run, wine and beer tasting and more.

Onslow Oktoberfest - Jacksonville, NC - Oct 19 to Oct 27, 2018
The community fundraiser for Onslow Community Outreach includes live music and 5K run. Children’s area offers entertainment, amusement rides, games, micro racing, animal park and home improvement workbench/clinics. The festival was started in 2008. Location: Riverwalk Crossing Park, 421 Court Street, Jacksonville, NC

Triangle Oktoberfest - Cary, NC - Oct 19 to Oct 20, 2018
Presented by the Apex Sunrise and Cary MacGregor Rotary Clubs in collaboration with the Town of Cary, the 5th Annual Triangle Oktoberfest is an authentic German festival focused on family fun, traditional Bavarian food and fare, and plenty of local and authentic German beers from Munich, all to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and other local and international charities. Live entertainment will showcase The Polka Brothers from NYC, Wiener Dog Races, a kid-friendly Kinder Platz (inflatables and face painting), Masskrugstemmen (stein hoist), and Hammerschlagen (hammer striking) competitions.

Yadkin Valley Grape Festival - Yadkinville, NC - Oct 20, 2018
Annual festival with live entertainment, food, fun, and of course wine events.  Wine tasting tickets are $20 (advance) and $25 (door).

Wilmington Oktoberfest - Wilmington, NC - Oct 20, 2018
This 13th Annual Oktoberfest will include authentic German food and beer, wiener dog races, live music and kids zone. Admission is $5.

Creedmoor Music Festival - Creedmoor, NC - Oct 20, 2018
Update – postponed due to Hurricane Florence. Original date 9/15, moved to 10/20 Creedmoor invites you to their 27th annual music festival.  Great music, food, and festival fans will converge on Main Street, rain or shine.  Bring the entire family for live music, handicrafts, gifts and family fun.  Activities include a Kid’s Corner, bounce house, tee-ball, and more.  Music ranges from top-notch local and regional bands playing bluegrass, gospel, classic rock, country, and dance music.  TK’s Car Show is held next door at the same time.

North Carolina Pecan Harvest Festival - Whiteville, NC - Oct 27 to Nov 3, 2018
The 26th Annual event features the Columbus Cooks Pecan cooking contest, kid’s block, Tri Beach Cruisers car show, art show, boat show, festival food, craft demonstrations, 5k run, festival parade, and of course lots and lots of pecans.

Brewgrass Festival - Asheville, NC - Oct 27, 2018
21+. An annual event held at Memorial Stadium in downtown Ashville. Experience include over 200 brewery/brewpup tastings, food court, great music and arts. Since 1996.

Clayton Harvest and Music Festival - Clayton, NC - Oct 31 to Nov 4, 2018
Rescheduled due to Hurricane Florence! From 9/12-16 to 10/31-11/4. This five day festival includes Clayton Idol (a singing competition), movie night, great food, midway, Squealin’ on the Square BBQ competition, Latin American Festival, and more.

Dtown Oktoberfest - Durham, NC - Nov 2, 2018
Florence Update – postponed to 11/2/18 The Little German Band and dancers will entertain with oompah music and dancing. Beer inside the Motorco decorated as a beer hall. Bratwurst and pretzels will also be available.

North Carolina Gourd Festival - Raleigh, NC - Nov 3 to Nov 4, 2018
77th Annual event at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds, featuring competitions for gourd growers and crafters. Admission fees cover building rental and insurance.

Wilson Whirligig Festival - Wilson, NC - Nov 3 to Nov 4, 2018
35,000 attend. Arts & crafts, food vendors, 5K, live music and contests, 3 stages of live music and kid’s zone mean fun for the whole family!

Colfax Persimmon Festival - Oak Ridge, NC - Nov 3, 2018
An annual event at the historic Stafford farm. A celebration of persimmon and historic farming, plus live music and demonstrations.

Cucalorus Film Festival - Wilmington, NC - Nov 7 to Nov 11, 2018
Founded in 1994 this annual festival screens over 200 films at several area venues.  Dress up for the red carpet and enjoy your nights out. Recent addition can help venture capitalists and entreprenteurs meet at the Cucalorus Connect conference, which featured more than 50 events (in addition to the film festival) such as panels and workshops.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to the INAUGURALYOUNG BOSSES UNITED FESTIVAL (“YBU”) on October 24, 2015 at 11a.m at the Legion Sports Complex. Business owners under the age of 30 are encouraged to participate in the Young Bosses United
Festival. Our festival’s mission is to promote the developing entrepreneurs under the age of 30. Seeing these vendors will encourage the minds of our young festival goers to believe in their dreams. The Young Bosses United Festival announces its Call for Entries and Volunteers up to 30 years of age. YBU Festival will have live music, children entertainment, vendors and the networking impact will be huge.

Crossroads Festival – Linden, NC – October 25, 2015
Event features a parade, crafts, cornhole tournament, apple pie and paper airplane contest, bingo, great food, and live bands.

Albemarle Harvest Festival – Albemarle, NC – Nov 7, 2015
15th annual event by Vintage Virginia Apples and the CoveGarden Ruritan Club. Workshops, local musicians, hayrides, food & craft vendors, Apple Pie Contest and more.

    Is it possible to add the “Welcome Home Veterans Festival 2017” to your site.
    This will be our first annual festival, to be located in Cherokee, NC – Sept 21 thru 24.
