Find the best deals on the new Google Stadia online streaming video game service and controller for Black Friday 2019. We will be searching all of the online sales available from Alphabet’s Google, Amazon and other electronics retailers for them from Thanksgiving 2019 to Cyber Monday 2019.
Google Stadia is an online only platform agnostic cloud gaming service. It allows users to play their favorite games without a console. It is scheduled to be released in November 2019 in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union and Canada. The regular price for the Founder’s Edition kit at launch is currently $129 with a subscription to the ongoing Stadia Pro for $10 US.
In 2020, it is expected that Google will offer a free subscription to Stadia Base. This will not provide access to free games and will only operate at 1080p for 60 frames per second.
Google Stadia will have a number of games when it is released, including Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, DOOM Eternal, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Just Dance 2020, NBA 2K20, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, among others.
Google will host a custom x86 Intel CPU server running at 2.7 GHz with a custom AMD graphics silicon capable of 10.7 teraflops of raw computing power, as well as 56 compute units and HBM2 memory. Google has said that Stadia is capable of 60 frames per second at 4K, with 8K and more than 120 fps coming in the future.
The streaming service does not require a video game console or other special hardware to play it. The only piece of hardware for Google Stadia is the Stadia controller, which is regularly priced at $69.
Normally, we do not expect that a new product will have a deep discount during its first Thanksgiving, particularly when it is only a few days after it is released for game play. However, the opportunity for Google to crack into the gaming market with an online streaming service could be a blockbuster and it may leverage an early price discount to build momentum. Microsoft has already announced its Project xCloud service at the annual E3 gaming show.
There are a number of other cloud gaming or game streaming services available as well, such as Apple Arcade, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Hatch for Samsung, Steam Link Anywhere, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Blade Shadow.
