The exchange rate between dollars and euros in January 2017 is approximately 1 US dollar to .93 Euro. So for every $100, you will receive 93 Euros. This is substantially better than it has been in the past. When we looked at it roughly five years ago, an exchange rate of $100 to 80 euros or more would have been an excellent exchange.
During much of the American financial crisis in 2008, each $100 dollar would purchase you only 63 euros. We initially looked into the exchange rate between dollars and euros in July 2013 for those planning trips to Germany for Oktoberfest. At that time, for every $100, you would get about 76 euros.
