It should come as no surprise that I found more than ten New Orleans ghost tours. The city is number four on CNBC’s list of the 10 Most Haunted Cities in America because of the combination of voodoo, slavery and war that have occurred around New Orleans. Haunted America Tours disagreed. It saw New Orleans as the World’s Most Haunted Place. And U.S. News called St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 the 4th Scariest Place on Earth.

Free Tours by Foot - New Orleans, LA
a two hour, name your own price ghost tour of New Orleans. Reservations are required. Meets at the steps at St. Louis Cathedral. It departs Thursday through Monday at 7:30 pm. It covers the history of the French Quarter and tales of The Morgue, Octoroon Mistress, Hotel Montelone and more.

French Quarter Phantoms - New Orleans, LA

This is their signature tour with tales of vampires in New Orleans and ghosts of the French Quarter. The cemetery tour visits St. Louis Cemetery #1. The future tomb of Nicholas Cage is there. Learn about voodoo history, burial customs, the French Quarter and New Orleans. It departs from CC’s Community Coffee House Monday through Saturday at 11 AM and Sunday morning at 10 am. The true crime tour discusses the deaths of Police Chief Hennessy and Storyville Madame, as well as the story of serial killer Axeman. This tour departs from Flanagan’s Pub on Thursday through Sunday at 6 PM. Tour cost is regularly $20

Grayline Tours - New Orleans, LA
a two hour nighttime walking tour of the French Quarter called the Ghosts & Spirits Walking Tour. It departs nightly at 7:30 pm from Gray Line Information Desk at Jackson Brewery. Reservations are recommended. Cost is $15 for kids and $26 for adults. Gray Line has been offering sightseeing to New Orleans visitors since 1924. They also offer a steamboat tour, jazz tour, plantation tour and swamp tour in addition to the standard city tours of New Orleans.

Historic New Orleans Tours - , LA
a two hour haunted tour that departs from Pirates Alley Cafe at 7:30 pm nightly. Stories of hauntings include The Lalaurie Mansion, The Witch of the French Opera, The Ghost of the Quadroon Mistress and The Phantom of the Orleans Hotel. The cemetery/voodoo tour visits Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, the former site of Storyville, Congo Square, the site of Marie Laveau’s home, the Golden Feather Mardi Gras Indian Gallery, and Voodoo Temple. Departs from the courtyard of Royal Cafe Beignet. Cost of a tour is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, $7 for children ages 6 to 12.

Lord Chaz Ghost Tours - , LA
Three Lords Entertainment runs a two hour walking Ghost and Vampire tour as well as a cemetery tour. The Ghost and Vampire Tour leaves nightly at 7:30 pm. The Cemetery Tour runs Thursdays – Saturdays at 11:00 am. Tours start at Johnny White’s Hole in the Wall. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children under 12.

Louisiana Tour Company - Marrero, LA
helping patrons tour New Orleans for more then twenty years. They offer a two hour ghost tour of the dark side of New Orleans. Cost is $20 per person. They also offer a swamp tour, plantation tour and airboat tour.

Magict Tours New Orleans - New Orleans, LA
They have a tour of Saint Louis Cemetery #1 which explores the 200+ year old cemetery. There is also a Ghosts/Haunts/Voodoo Tour which departs nightly at 7:30 p.m. from 441 Royal Street. It includes stories of disease, disaster, destruction and death in the French Quarter and New Orleans, as well as a special emphasis on voodoo. It lasts approximately 2 hours and costs $15 when reserved online in advance. Regular price is $25 for adults.

New Orleans Tour Center - New Orleans, LA
an approximately 1.5 hour ghost tour as well as a cemetery tour. The eerie tour of the French Quarter at night is $16 per adult with children 7 and under free with paid adult. Departs nightly at 6 and 8 pm. The cemetery tour includes Saint Louis Cemetery #1 and the tomb of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau. This tour leaves Monday through Saturday at 11 am and Sunday at 10 am.

Spirit Tours - New Orleans, LA
two walking tours for those interested in the supernatural. The cemeteries & voodoo tour leaves at 10:15 am daily and 1:15 pm Monday through Saturday. It covers Voodoo rituals, West African influences, Marie Laveau and other interesting characters from New Orleans history. The ghost tour departs nightly at 8:15 pm from Toulouse Royale Gifts. It is a two hour tour through the French Quarter with tales of piracy, disease, nocturnal citizens and more.
