Fall Chocolate Festivals

What could be better than a chocolate Festival when the weather turns cool.  It’s unlikely anyone would refuse a day at a chocolate festival and there are a number of different types of celebrations for everyone to enjoy from kids to serious chefs.

If you’re a professional chocolatier you may need to hop a plane to Perugia, Italy for the best on offer. If you’re just a chocoholic like most of us however, any of the other festivals are more than willing to delight your taste buds without much coaxing. Whether its bittersweet or creamy milk chocolate that sends you to chocolate heaven, there will be plenty of varieties to taste and purchase. Chefs are often on hand to demonstrate chocolate techniques such as tempering and molding, while kids can have a go at dipping and decorating.

If you want to know what the next chocolate craze is going to be (years ago the chocolate dipped pretzel was introduced at a festival) you won’t want to walk past any vendor or booth without at least a quick glance to see what creative heights they are up to with everyone’s favorite delicacy.
