If you’re a garlic fan, however, (and not a creature of the night) you won’t want to keep away from these over-the-top fall garlic festivals that are usually jam packed with garlic connoisseurs and plenty of good food to boot.

From raw to roasted to special heirloom varieties, you’ll find garlic lurking in just about every food imaginable from soda to ice cream. You’ll learn everything there is to know about garlic’s history, cultivation, and uses in the kitchen and elsewhere. There are usually some well-known chefs who turn up to garlic festivities so don’t be surprised to catch a glimpse of one having his picture taken with the garlic queen.
