It locates holiday activities for all ages – from kid-friendly children’s activities to adult Halloween parties. Deadweird - Deadwood, SD - Oct 25 to Oct 26, 2019
Celebrate Halloween in Deadwood. Deadweird is a little crazy, a little spooky and a WHOLE lot of fun! Make plans for the annual Monster Ball on Friday with a live band, dancing and prizes; and the annual Costume Contest with more than $12,000 in cash and prizes for the best costumes on Saturday. Both of these events are FREE. Must be 21 to participate.
Sioux Falls Zombie Walk - Sioux Falls, SD - Oct 26, 2019
This year’s theme is “At the Movies” – come dressed as your favorite movie character or actor! Prizes awarded in several categories for BEST costume
Trick or Treat Trail Run - Sioux Falls, SD - Oct 26, 2019
10:00 A.M. The trail run will include a 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run. Both events will take place at Pasley Park on the bike path along the scenic Big Sioux River. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. We will again be having a Candy Dash for runners/walkers, ages 3-10. This race is .5 mile. Each finisher receives a goodie bag and event shirt. Awards given for best male and best female youth costumes.
Scare in the Square - Rapid City, SD - Oct 26, 2019
Tiny ghouls and goblins invade Main Street Square for an afternoon of ghostly family fun. Scare in the Square is held in conjunction with the Downtown Rapid City Business Group’s Downtown Trick-or-Treat.
Zoo Boo - Sioux Falls, SD - Oct 26 to Oct 28, 2019
The Zoo closes early for three days and reopens shortly thereafter, transformed from your normal zoo into a Halloween extravaganza. Kids can wind their way through decorated exhibits and walkways to collect candy and other treats from costumed presenters. Pass the Extinct Species Graveyard and see the markers for extinct animals like the Dodo Bird and Caspian Tiger. Take a spin on the Spooky Carousel and see more than 300 hand-carved and lit Jack-o-Lanterns. $5 for Zoo members and $7 for non-members (Children under 2 are free). The entire event is outdoors and is held rain, snow or shine so dress appropriately!
