Are you ready to track down some fun events for Halloween 2022? We have put together one of the largest calendars of Halloween events in the United States for you. We’ve located holiday activities for all ages – from kid-friendly children’s activities to adult Halloween parties. We don’t have every event yet, but there are plenty of ideas to get you and your family in the mood for Halloween in North Carolina.

Track or Treat Halloween Express - New Hill, NC - Oct 15 to Oct 29, 2022
Triangle Train and the North Carolina Railway Museum are currently closed. Click through to their website to see if they have reopened and if this event will be happening in 2020, otherwise we expect they’ll be back for 2021. Normally: Celebrate Halloween at New Hope Valley on the Triangle Train.

Ghoulash - Greensboro, NC - Oct 22, 2022
Ghoulash! is an annual festival featuring fall and Halloween themed activities led by the Greensboro Youth Council (GYC) in partnership with Greensboro Downtown Parks Inc. The free event is held in downtown Greensboro each October. The festival is a family-friendly and spooktacular afternoon full of games, inflatables, face-painting, candy, and more.

Halloween Phantasmagoria - Durham, NC - Oct 28, 2022
Explore historical concepts of Spiritualism, awe, and wonder from the 19th century at Duke Homestead. You are invited to wander the property to see what wonders you can find. Appropriate for all ages. (No experiences are designed to scare!) Participation will require walking and standing on uneven terrain. Bring your own flashlight!

Zombiepalooza - Cary, NC - Oct 28, 2022
Zombies will once again rise downtown at The Cary Theater. The annual Zombiepalooza features local filmmakers’ zombie short films on a huge outdoor screen downtown. This event is FREE!

Kooky Spooky Halloween Party - Raleigh, NC - Oct 28, 2022
Wear a costume for a ghoulish good time! Experience the magic of Marbles after dark at this family-friendly Halloween spooktacular with activities like Ghoul School, Mad Scientist Lab, Monster Mash Dance Party and more!

Howl-O-Ween Harvest Ball - Raleigh, NC - Oct 29, 2022
The QDR Howl-O-Ween Harvest Ball has a tradition of helping homeless animals find forever homes.

Day of the Dead 5K - Raleigh, NC - Oct 29, 2022
5K race along with art, food, music, dancing, and local beer as part of the celebration.

Halloweenfest - Brevard, NC - Oct 29, 2022
One of Brevard, NC’s premier festivals, it’s sure to be a day of great fun, costumes, vendors, and celebration! Where else but Transylvania County!

Raleigh Zombie Walk - Raleigh, NC - Oct 29, 2022
Lumber, lurch, limp, and crawl your way through the streets of Raleigh in search of brains! This horde of the undead will meet up at Imurj and make their way through the streets of downtown.

Schiele O Ween - Gastonia, NC - Oct 29, 2022
Explore the museum exhibits and The Farm to learn the true nature of “haunting” creatures like wolves, bats, owls, and spiders while you collect some autumn treats. Enjoy a program about the science of pumpkins and the tradition of jack o’ lanterns, then try your hand at carving a pumpkin into a design of your own. Kids attending in costume can even participate in our online costume contest. Space is limited.

Running Scared 5 Miler - Charlotte, NC - Oct 29, 2022
Don’t miss the Running Scared 5 Miler and Monster Mile presented by SportPort, showcasing uptown Charlotte. Instead of embracing Halloween with a mouthful of fun-size Snickers, don your costume and lace up your running shoes. Our local 5 Miler or Monster Mile is as fine a place as any for your giant banana suit and becomes a high-speed parade of superheroes, zombies, and foam beer bottles. Costume Contest, performance shirts, custom bibs, finisher medals, etc. Following the running events, there will be food trucks, beer, kids’ area with face painting, and entertainment.

Downtown Concord Candy Crawl - Concord, NC - Oct 31, 2022
Local merchants provide trick-or-treating and family-friendly entertainment on Union Street in Downtown Concord.

Ray’s Haunted Carnival and Haunted Tour - Charlotte, NC - Oct 25, 2019
A spook-tacular haunted tour and/or kid-friendly carnival in the gym. Family friendly costumes are welcomed and encouraged!

Not Too Spooky Haunted Hall - Charlotte, NC - Oct 26, 2019
Prepare to be not-so-scared at the NASCAR Hall of Fame this Halloween. Champ the Cheetah transforms the Hall of Fame into the Not-Too-Spooky Haunted Hall, complete with trick-or-treating, a pumpkin patch, games with prizes and more!

Geek Gala - Charlotte, NC - Nov 2, 2019
Canceled for 2020, look for their return in 2021! Normally: The geekiest Halloween party in the Carolinas. Last year’s theme was Geeky Tiki Slumber Party-Rama (2019).

Jack-o-Weenie Ball - Concord, NC - Oct 30 to Oct 31, 2020
There’s going to be beer, costumes, and quesadillas all around. We will have live music to rock your face off, along with other fun goodies
