Alabama Halloween Events 2022

Are you ready to track down some fun events for Halloween 2022? We have put together one of the largest calendars of Halloween events in the United States for you. It locates holiday activities for all ages – from kid-friendly children’s activities to adult Halloween parties. We don’t have every event yet, but there are plenty of ideas to get you and your family in the mood for Halloween in Alabama.

Boo Halloween Party - Birmingham, AL - Oct 28, 2022
Adults- only party at the B&A Warehouse, with live music, karaoke, fortune telling, and a hairy and scary costume contest at midnight for prizes, beneitting the Luekemia & Lymphoma Society of Alabama

Bones and Boos - Auburn, AL - Oct 12, 2019
A one day outdoor exhibit of animal skeletons throughout the Davis Arboretum, co-hosted by the AU Museum of Natural History and the Vet School. Live music, silent acution, food trucks and more.

Mad Al’s Fright Fest - Madison, AL - Oct 19 to Oct 31, 2019
21+ party, with food and beer for purchase, live music, mini golf and batting cages, costume contest, and more!

YMCA Halloween Carnival - Wetumpka, AL - Oct 19, 2019
Carnival games, playhouse, cake walk, trick-or-treating, silent auction, haunted house, costume contest, and more. Admission ($5 child, $3 adult) goes to Camper Scholarship Fund.

Trick or Treat in the Museum – A Spooktacular Party - Tuscaloosa, AL - Oct 24, 2019
Held at the Children’s Hands-On Museum, which re-opens at 5:30 for this special event, an evening of carnival games, music, and more! Bring a food bank item for $1 off.

Halloween Bash for the Humane Society - Gadsden, AL - Oct 25, 2019
A costume contest at the Elks Lodge for prizes, plus drinks and music, a fun way to raise money for the Humane Society.

BOOtania - Huntsville, AL - Oct 26, 2019
This event is all about Halloween fun, with crafts, games, face painting, music, hayrides plus Trick or Treating at the BOOterfly House and the Costume Parade.

Howl-O-Weenie Pawty - Gadsden, AL - Oct 26, 2019
Free event for the whole family, so dress your furry friends up for a parade, in this fundraiser for the Humane Society

Halloween Trick-or-Treating at Midtown Village - Tuscaloosa, AL - Oct 26, 2019
Kids can trick-or-treat with the merchants of Midtown Village from 3-6pm. Bring your own treat bag

Halloween Candy Walk - Prattville, AL - Oct 28, 2019
Canceled for 2020, look for their return in 2021! Normally: Ghosts, goblins, fairies, superheroes and more come out for safe trick-or-treating in Prattville, starting at 4pm at City Hall.

HullaBOO - Montgomery, AL - Oct 29, 2019
Free event for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, with children’s activities, a costume contest, real horses, crafts, and more

The Great Pumpkin Splash - Opelika, AL - Oct 16, 2020
Pick your pumpkin from the pool. Kids can enjoy Harvest Relay Races, the pumpkin roll, prizes, and more! Pumpkins will be placed in varying depths of the pool, allowing children of all swimming capabilities to participate. Must pre-register to participate.

Fright Night at the Villa - Opelika, AL - Oct 16, 2020
Auburn Parks and Rec are hosting Fright Night at the Villa. They will show the movie The Invisible Man. This is for adults only or viewer discretion is advised. This event is free and open to the public.

Downtown Spooky Scavenger Hunt - Auburn, AL - Oct 25 to Oct 31, 2020
Join Active Auburn & the Downtown Merchants Association for a Downtown Spooky Scavenger Hunt. Beginning Sunday, October 25 through Saturday, October 31, Active Auburn will be hiding a pumpkin at a downtown merchant location every day of the week leading up to Halloween. Each day at noon, a picture that contains a clue will be posted on Active Auburn’s Facebook page (@activeauburnAL). The first participant to physically find the pumpkin in person will receive a gift card from that location.

Downtown Drive Thru Trick or Treat in Opelika - Opelika, AL - Oct 29, 2020
Join Opelika Main Street and the merchants of Historic Downtown Opelika for a socially distant trick or treat! Families are invited to drive through a portion of downtown and receive candy from their vehicles while enjoying festive Halloween decorations throughout downtown. Decorate your car and tune in to Halloween music on the radio to complete the experience.

Insane Halloween on Skate Street - Madison, AL - Oct 31, 2020
Modifications for 2020: Drive through event in their parking lot – dress in costume, decorate your car, and come have some fun from 3-5pm! Normally: Trick or Treating, candy drop, games & prizes, costume contests and specials on the attractions!

Haunted Zumba - Auburn, AL - Oct 31, 2020
Held at Frank Brown Recreation Center. Zumba will take place in two waves, 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Zumba is a Latin dance-based exercise program that combines dancing with an aerobic workout, it might become your new favorite workout! Instructors from around the Auburn-Opelika area will lead you through some spooky, kooky and creepy dance moves to get your body moving! Children ages 8 and older are welcome with parent participation. This event is FREE and open to the public – pre-registration is required, space is limited.

Zombie Squirrel Apocalypse Dual Slalom - Auburn, AL - Oct 31 to Nov 1, 2020
Go Nuts Biking is hosting a dual slalom at Chewacla State Park. Their goal is to offer fun, competitive races and have a good time doing it! Come out to enjoy a Halloween themed race.
