Are you ready to track down some fun events for Halloween 2022? We have put together one of the largest calendars of Halloween events in the United States for you. We’ve located holiday activities for all ages – from kid-friendly children’s activities to adult Halloween parties. We don’t have every event yet, but there are plenty of ideas to get you and your family in the mood for Halloween in Louisiana.

Ghosts in the Oaks - New Orleans, LA - Oct 20 to Oct 23, 2022
Come on out to the Amusement Park & Storyland for this family friendly Halloween event with trick or treating, rides, arts & crafts, and pumpkin patch! Children of all ages enjoy balloon animals by Party Peeple, air-brush face painting by Pirate Ink and musical entertainment by Catalyst Event Solutions.

Zoo Boo – Alexandria Zoo - Alexandria, LA - Oct 18 to Oct 26, 2019
Canceled for 2021, look for their return in 2022. Normally: Join in the fun at Central Louisiana’s biggest Halloween extravaganza. This family-friendly Halloween experience is three nights of spooktacular, scare-free fun! Enjoy Halloween activities for kids at the Festival Plaza, photo ops, and sweets and treats along the trick-or-treat trail through the Zoo.

Mirror Room Halloween Dance Party - Alexandria, LA - Oct 25, 2019
It’s Halloween and time to bring your best costumes out to The Mirror Room for their annual Halloween Dance Party! DJ will get the party started, then there will be a costume contest where they’ll be handing out prizes for the funniest, scariest, and sexiest Halloween costumes! Those three winners then compete for a Grand Prize!

Park-a-Boo - Metairie, LA - Oct 25 to Oct 27, 2019
Canceled for 2020, look for their return in 2021! Normally: Park-A-Boo is a 3 day Halloween Festival primarily for children under 13 years to costume and enjoy the Halloween season. Multiple attractions allow a variety of activities that are age appropriate for families to enjoy together, including the Boo House, treat street, face painting, characters, live entertainment and more.

Trunk or Treat at Gateway Baptist Church - Ball, LA - Oct 27, 2019
5:30-7:30pm – treats, activities, food, music and more, plus door prizes

Halloween Hullabaloo - Baton Rouge, LA - Oct 31, 2019
Food, trick or treating, inflatables, games, face painting, balloon artists, petting zoo and more, form 6-8pm at the Brec Hooper Rd Sports Park.

Children’s Museum: Halloween - Lake Charles, LA - Oct 31, 2019
Likely canceled as they are closed after suffering damage during Hurricane Laura. Please confirm on their website and look for the return of this event in 2021. Normally: Join them in their ArtSpace at 11.

Van Gogh Gala - Alexandria, LA - Nov 2, 2019
Gala Under the Stars is this year’s gala theme. The Van Gogh Gala is an annual fundraiser benefitting River Oaks Square Arts Center- it is also River Oaks’ largest annual fundraiser. This themed-attire Gala provides the perfect opportunity for community members and patrons to become “Star Artists” for an evening. Star Artists are matched with a River Oaks Resident Artist or Local Artist for the creation of a masterpiece. Some artists contribute their own works to the live auction. All masterpieces are placed on the auction block during an exciting live auction on the evening of the Gala with all proceeds benefitting the ongoing operations of River Oaks Square Arts Center. Your participation helps support and promote the importance of contemporary visual art and fine crafts in the community.

Brews and Boos - New Orleans, LA - Sep 5 to Sep 19, 2020
21+ event with featuring horror movie showings with an open bar. In the past, this event also featured live performances, costume contests, unlimited amusement rides, candy, open bars, and more

BR Halloween Parade - Baton Rouge, LA - Oct 18 to Oct 31, 2020
Canceled for 2021, look for their return in 2022. Normally: Parade through downtown. Dress in costume and bring a canned good for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank

Crawloween - New Orleans, LA - Oct 29 to Oct 31, 2020
Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium invites guests to celebrate Halloween “infestivities” at Crawloween. Guests are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes, learn about some “scary” critters, discover pumpkins that double as animal habitats, go trick or tricking, eat buggy snacks, and more! All Crawloween activities are included with general admission.

Library Fall Festival - Rapides Parish, LA - Oct 30 to Oct 31, 2020
Modifications for 2020: treat bag with checkout of library materials or during drive through events at different branches. See their website for schedule and locations. Normally: Camp out with a book! Head to your nearest Rapides Parish library location in costume for crafts and candy!
