Albany Pumpkin Patches

Bellinger’s Orchard - Fultonville, NY
The Winnie/Bellinger family farm, established in 1803, has had an orchard since 1930, and now offers over 30 varieties of apples available for picking. They have pumpkins and other gourds available in late September. Enjoy apple cider, fresh cider donuts (available individually, by the half dozen or dozen), jams and jellies, local honey and maple syrup, and more. Take a hayride through the apple orchard and pumpkin patch on weekends, and try not to get lost in the corn maze or the children’s hay maze.

Boehm Farm - Climax, NY
Pick your own apples from almost 20 varieties, plus pick your own pumpkin from the patch. They also have other produce available for you pick throughout the seaosn. The farm stand offers up fresh cider donuts, pies, jams and jellies, local honey and maple syrup, and more.

Bowman Orchards - Rexford, NY
Pick your own apples from August through October, and pumpkins in September and October.

Fix Bros Fruit Farm - Hudson, NY
Pick your own on this fifth generation family farm includes apples (13 varieties) and pumpkins, as well as cherries and peaches thorughout the year, and other produce prepicked in the farm store. They also have hayrides and fresh apple cider.

Greig Farm - Red Hook, NY
Pick your own apples, pumpkins, and more. You can feed the goats and visit the koi pond while visiting. They offer a craft market and an art gallery on site. They also have two accomodations to stay on the farm (one a studio, on a two bedroom house).

Indian Ladder Farms - Altamount, NY
Pick your own apples and pumpkins, with pre-picked produce available at the farm market. The farm market also sells a variety of preserves, local honey and maple syrup, and other products. Under the Indian Ladder Farms Cidery & Brewery label, there is also beer and hard cider available at the Biergarten and Tasting Room on site.

Lakeview Orchards - Melrose, NY
Pick your own apples and pumpkins, plus enjoy apple cider.

Middlefield Orchard - Cooperstown, NY
Pick your own apples from dwarf trees growing over 25 varieties between early August and late October, plus berries earlier in the year and pumpkins later in the fall. They also have a “Rent-a-Tree” program that gives you exclusive rights to the produce of a single tree for the year, giving you tons of apples to make your own treats throughout the season. They are closed Sunday but the orchard is open the rest of the week. They offer jams and jellies and other treats. They also have a corn maze, haywagon rides, and more activities.

Rogers Family Orchard - Johnstown, NY
Pick your own apples, plus they have apple cider, cider donuts, pumpkins, a corn maze, hayride, and other fall fun.

Rose Hill Farm - Red Hook, NY
Rose Hill Farm was established in 1812, on land purchased by the original owner in 1798, and was the only fruit farm among the state’s ten Bicentennial Family Farms in 2001, six generations later. After transitioning to a pick-your-own apple farm about twenty years ago, other produce was added for the pick your own, including berries, peaches, and pumpkins. They also have cider donuts and pie, apple cider, farm fresh eggs and more.

Samascott Orchards - Kinderhook, NY
In addition to fruits and vegetables of all sorts, you can pick your own apples (from July through November) and pumpkins (September and October). The Farm Stand offers fresh produce, homemade cider and cider donuts, local honey and maple syrup, and more. They make sweet cider in apple, pear, and apple-strawberry (seasonal) varieties. The Garden Market, which they bought in 2005, offers greenhouse grown produce, herbs, and flowers, but also offers a 7 acre corn maze with a different design each year.

Sand Flats Orchards - Fonda, NY
Pick your own or prepicked apples through September and October. They offer apple cider, cider donuts, pies, kettle corn and other treats. Pick up mums, pumpkins, and gourds at the farm stand as well. Take a tractor ride, try not to get lost in the corn maze, have a picnic, and see farm animals.

Stanton’s Feura Farm - Feura Bush, NY
On weekends in September and October, pick your own pumpkins and apples (15 varieties), plus take a spin through the hay and corn mazes, or a hayride. Enjoy a fresh apple cider donut, apple cider and other treats.

Northern New York

Country Dreams Farm - Plattsburgh, NY
A working farm with fall fun for the whole family. Enjoy the pick your own pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hay rides. There is also a corn house and kids’ play area. Special Event: aMAZEing halloWINE. They also feature weddings, sleigh rides, and summer events. Their address is 260 Pellerin Road, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. It is about 104 miles north of Lake George, NY.

Fobare’s Fruits - Rensselaer Falls, NY
Pick your own apples and pumpkins. They also offer wagon rides, a corn maze, children’s activities including a playground, and the Apple Barn, which offers apple cider, baked goods such as cider donuts and pies, preserves and other prepared foods, ice cream, apple nachos, meals and other treats.

Goodwin’s Orchard - Potsdam, NY

It’s About Thyme Farm - Olmstedville, NY
A 150 acre family farm located 45 minutes from Lake George. Pumpkin patch and apple orchard open daily from early September until late October. Weekends bring hay rides, scarecrow walks, “free” doughnuts and apple cider. The address is 32 Smith Road, Olmstedville, NY 12857. It is about 32 miles north of Lake George.

Rulfs Orchard - Peru, NY
Pick your own berries, tomotoes, apples and pumpkins. On weekends, they run wagon rides out to the pumpkin patch. The farm store is open yearround and stocks apples, fresh apple cider, fresh cider donuts and pies, and their own honey, as well as locally made goodies. In December, they have precut Christmas trees, wreaths and more. They also offer a variety of children’s activities, including a petting zoo.

Tucker Farms - Gabriels, NY
A family owned and operated potato farm with pumpkin patch and corn maze located 15 minutes from Saranac Lake and 20 minutes north of Lake Placid. Home of the Great Adirondack Corn Maze for more than 10 years. Wagon ride tours of the pumpkin patch. The address is 112 Hobart Road, Gabriels, NY.  All new “America in Space” corn maze opens around the middle of August.

Wright Family Farm - Warwick, NY
Fall fun starts in early September.  They have pick your own pumpkins, a hayride, corn maze, and Christmas trees. They are generally open every day in October. Their address is 329 Kings Highway, Warwick, NY. It is about 60 miles north of New York City.
