Fall Montana Festivals

Enjoy the food and fun at one of these fall festivals in Montana.  Don’t underestimate the power of a select number of festivals.  You only need one good party to create a lifetime of memories.  Find weekend things to do in September and October.  And after you have indulged in Oktoberfest in Montana, you’ll be ready for anything!

September 2015:

Chokecherry Festival – Lewiston, MT – September 12, 2015
25th anniversary event. Held in the Chokecherry Capitol of Montana and attended by more than 4,000. A chokecherry is a small, maroon-colored fruit that grows wild in Montana.

Boulder Music & Art Festival – Boulder, MT – September 12-13, 2015
Live local music, artists’ creations. Free admission. Always the first full weekend in September after Labor Day.

Germanfest – Missoula, MT – September 13, 2015
A free German festival in Caras Park. Traditional food, beer, music, folk dancing, chicken dance, keg tapping, commemorative steins and kids activities.

October 2015

Townsend Fall Fest – Townsend, MT – October 2-4, 2015
Friday evening is music, beer and brats. Oktoberfest, arts & crafts, food vendors. Saturday parade; Sunday car show.

McIntosh Apple Day – Hamilton, MT – October 3, 2015
Bake sale, arts & crafts, food and produce from the Hamilton Farmers Market. It is followed by Apple Night, a hard cider fest with local food, cider and music.

Tamarack Festival & Brewfest – Seeley Lake, MT – October 10-11, 2015

Montana Fall Brewers Festival – Missoula – October 16, 2015
Friday evening from 2 to 8 PM.

HarvestFest – Billings – October 10, 2015
NILE Lou Taubert Cattle Drive and Parade, pumpkin pie baking contest, Merchant Gift Basket Raffle, live entertainment, vendors and more. Attended by more than 5,000.
