Fall New Mexico Festivals
Attend one of these fall festivals in New Mexico this year. I wouldn’t have expected New Mexico to celebrate fall or the harvest, given its climate. But I was wrong. Of course, if you pass on the opportunity to attend one of the hot air balloon festivals that happen in New Mexico, in favor of a fall festival, then I think you are crazy. Or still recovering from Oktoberfest in New Mexico. In order to make the most of these festivals, look closely at the dates and start planning your schedule now!

Hatch Valley Chile Festival – Hatch, NM – September 5-6, 2015
More than 30,000 attend this Labor Day weekend festival to sample chile recipes, watch crowning of the chile festival queen or participate in the chile ristra contest.

Old Town Salsa Fiesta – Albuquerque – Sept 13, 2015
11th annual event. Find out who makes the best salsa and enjoy salsa dancing.
Santa Fe Renaissance Fair – Sept 19-20, 2015
10 AM to 6 PM. Celtic games, sword fighting, belly dancing, other live entertainment. Slogan: A Renaissance Festival with Spanish Flair! Parking is free. Adult admission is $10. Teens and seniors are $8.
Pojoaque River Art Tour – Santa Fe – Sept 19-20, 2015
22nd annual event. A Northern New Mexico tri-cultural art experience with sixteen stops and twenty-four artists. Reception and Silent Auction on Friday evening at Than Povi Fine Art Gallery.
Taos Fall Arts Festival – Taos, NM – September 25 – October 4, 2015
See the works of 250+ Taos County artists. This is the oldest art festival in Taos, first held in 1974. Film festival, youth art show, demonstrations and more.
Santa Fe Wine and Chile Festival – Santa Fe, NM – September 23-27, 2015
