Fall West Virginia Festivals in 2015
You must be able to party in order to live in WV. It’s practically a requirement for admission into the state. So I know you know what to do with our list of fall festivals. Not enough fun here? Don’t forget to enjoy a West Virginia Oktoberfest as well. Between the two lists, there are plenty of things to do in the state from Wheeling and Morgantown to Charleston.

Culturefest – Pipestem, WV - September 10-13, 2015
Elizabethtown Festival – held at former West Virginia Penitentiary – Moundsville, WV – September 12-13, 2015
The Elizabethtown festival is an annual old fashioned 1800′s type community festival. Free admission get the whole family lots of fun and entertainment. Expect to participate in the best apple pie cooking contest or the best cookie making contest. Kids can join in the pie eating contest. The festival has farm animals, a kids tractor pull, and various crafts and learning experiences. Crafts include basket making, woodcarving, candles, jewelry, pottery, and cooking.
Buckwheat Festival – Kingwood, WV - September 24-27, 2015
74th annual event in Preston County. Food, carnival, arts & crafts, and live music.
Roadkill Cookoff & Autumn Harvest Festival – Marlington, WV – September 26, 2015
Offers exotic dishes like squirrel gravy over biscuits or teriyaki-marinated bear.
West Virginia Pumpkin Festival – Milton, WV – October 1-4, 2015
Celebrating autumn and the harvest since 1986. More than 50,000 people attend annually. Parade, 5K run, crafts, craftsmen demonstrations and live music. Admission is $7 and free for children 5 and under.
Apple Butter Festival – Berkeley Springs, WV – October 10-11, 2015
Held annually since 1974. Saturday morning parade kicks off a weekend of country food, arts & crafts, games & contests. Spicy apple butter is stirred in giant copper kettles in the square.
Oglebayfest – Wheeling, WV – October 2-4, 2015
Started in 1978 on the 50th anniversary of Oglebay. Parade, fireworks, Ohio County Country Fair and West Virginia Pony Pull Championship.
Southern West Virginia Italian Festival – Bluefield – October 3, 2015
20th annual event held at the Bluefield City Auditorium. Homemade Italian sauce and meatballs, live music.
Hatfield & McCoy Trail Fest – Gilbert, WV – October 8-12, 2015
One of the premier UTV, ATV and Dirtbike riding events in the country. Poker run, mud pit mud run, costume parade, stunt show, scavenger hunt, fireworks and more.
Bridge Day Festival – Fayetteville, WV – October 17, 2015
Rappelling, skydiving and more into the New River Gorge. More than 80,000 come to watch the BASE jumpers and other events.
C-K AutumnFest – Ceredo and Kenova, WV – October 30-31, 2015
Scavenger hunt, pumpkin carving contest, bake-off, food and more. Teen and Teen Queen Pageant new for 2015.
