Bridge Day Festival - Lansing, WV - Oct 21, 2023

Taste of our Towns Festival - Lewisburg, WV - Oct 14, 2023
One of Carnegie Hall’s largest fundraisers, takes place on the second Saturday in October for the past 35+ years. Each year, TOOT features food tastings from a wide array of restaurants and nonprofit organizations, entertainment in three locations downtown, cultural exhibits, and more.

West Virginia Black Walnut Festival - Spencer, WV - Oct 12 to Oct 15, 2023
Activities include a flea market, flower show, food court, car show, band competition, grand parade, live music, and livestock show. Held throughout downtown Spencer.

Apple Butter Festival - Berkeley Springs, WV - Oct 7 to Oct 8, 2023
Saturday morning parade kicks off a weekend of country food, arts & crafts, games and contests. Spicy apple butter is stirred in giant copper kettles in the square. Since 1974.

Burlington Apple Harvest Festival - Burlington, WV - Oct 7 to Oct 8, 2023
Features include live music and entertainment, apple butter making, flea market, arts and crafts show, artisan village, and food court.

Oglebayfest - Wheeling, WV - Oct 6 to Oct 8, 2023
Parade, artists and gourmet market, fireworks over Schenk Lake, Ohio County Country Fair and West Virginia Pony Pull Championship, 5k and more. An annual event at the Oglebay Resort & Conference Center. Since 1978.

National Trail Fest - Gilbert, WV - Oct 5 to Oct 7, 2023
One of the premier UTV, ATV and Dirtbike riding events in the country. Past fun has included a poker run, mud pit mud run, costume parade, stunt show, scavenger hunt, live music, fireworks and more. Formerly called the Hatfield & McCoy Trail Fest as it takes place on the Hatfield & McCoy trails

Salem Apple Butter Festival - Salem, WV - Oct 5 to Oct 8, 2023
Annual event for 30+ years with old fashioned apple butter and family oriented activities.

West Virginia Pumpkin Festival - Milton, WV - Oct 5 to Oct 8, 2023
Celebrating autumn and the harvest since 1986. More than 50,000 people attend annually. Parade, 5K run, crafts, craftsmen demonstrations and live music. Held at the WV Pumpkin Park in Milton.

Autumnfest Parade - Princeton, WV - Sep 30, 2023
The parade will begin at the Capitol grounds and continue south down Sixth Street. At East Avenue A, the parade turns right, traveling west for two blocks to Fourth Street. The parade will then proceed north on Fourth Street, finishing their march at the west Capitol parking lot.

Autumnfest - Princeton, WV - Sep 30, 2023
Celebrate with thousands in downtown Princeton. Great music, crafts, art, kids activities, hundreds of booths, food, a car show, pumpkin painting, pie contests, and more. To make sure you don’t leave empty handed, various groups will make homemade apple butter on the street.

OktoberWest Charleston - Charleston, WV - Sep 30, 2023
West Virginia’s largest traditional German Octoberfest and among the largest craft beer festivals in the state. Sample over 100 craft brews, and several limited Octoberfest and German varieties, and listen to three incredible bands at this year’s festival. Stein holding, keg rolling, and best traditional dress contests will return! It’s all about the craft brews, local foods, and live music!

Mountain State Forest Festival - Elkins, WV - Sep 30 to Oct 8, 2023

Mothman Festival - Point Pleasant, WV - Sep 16 to Sep 17, 2023
Mothman Festival is an annual event held every third weekend in September that commemorates the 1966 Point Pleasant, West Virginia Mothman sighting, which gave birth to the infamous red-eyed winged legend. People from all over the world gather around charming Main Street to celebrate their favorite cryptid during this one of a kind event. Check out live music, snap a selfie with the Mothman Statue, take a private bus tour through the TNT area where the Mothman was spotted, and let the kiddos have some fun too, with face painting, an obstacle course, zip line, and more!

Parkersburg Paddlefest - Parkersburg, WV - Sep 15 to Sep 16, 2023
Parkersburg Paddlefest is a fun-filled three-day festival dedicated to people-powered watercraft. Kayaks, Canoes, and Stand-up Paddleboards are welcome to come and participate in this unique event. Point Park, at the confluence of the Ohio and Little Kanawha Rivers, is the setting for the first two day’s activities, including the main day, Saturday. The weekend concludes with a lake excursion on Sunday at North Bend State Park Lake. Coincides with the Downtown Throwdown, a craft and BBQ event.

Hops & Heat, an Appalachian craft beer and chili cookoff event celebrating the close to the Open-Air Bazaar season, will encompass over 80 craft beers from more than 20 Appalachian breweries and crown the BazaarÂ’s best chili in a chili cookoff competition between 10+ Bazaar cooks.     I don’t see the Beckley, West Virginia listing of their Burlington United Methodist Church Pumpkin Harvest Festival. I see the Milton, WV Apple Harvest Festival.

    I am sure it will be held October 3rd and 4th this year, and it would increase participation if listed here. I have spoken to Sheila at the Beckley office.
