National Veterans Day Parade - Birmingham, AL - Nov 11, 2023
Our military veterans are still honored with a parade at the home of the first Veterans Day. In 1945, a World War II veteran from Birmingham, Alabama had the idea to expand Armistice Day to celebrate all veterans. It was Raymond Weeks of Birmingham, who led a delegation to Washington, DC urging then-Army Chief of Staff General Dwight Eisenhower to create a national holiday that honored all veterans. Weeks led the first National Veterans Day Parade in 1947 in Alabama, and continued the tradition annually until his passing in 1985. In 1954, President Eisenhower signed legislation formally establishing November 11th as Veterans Day.

Fairhope Veterans Day Parade - Fairhope, AL - Nov 4, 2023
Parade typically start at 10 a.m. with start/destination at the Fairhope Civic Center. Leading the parade will be Fairhope’s Veteran of the Year. The celebration continues in Henry George Park where a sunset prayer service will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial, Tears of Sorry, Tears of Joy.

National Peanut Festival - Dothan, AL - Nov 3 to Nov 12, 2023
The nation’s largest peanut festival celebrates the harvest. One-quarter of the U.S. peanut crop is harvested within 75 miles of Dothan.

International Festival of North Alabama - Huntsville, AL - Oct 21, 2023
Enjoy the International cuisine, food trucks, live music, kids activities, open air market and more. Held at the UAH Fitness Center. The one-day family friendly event features cultural performances, the parade of nations and an international open air market, showcasing international food vendors, crafts and arts, and food trucks. There will be free activities for children and college students. Festivities begin at 9 a.m., with a ribbon cutting and the Parade of Nations.

Eastern Shore Jubilee Festival - Daphne, AL - Oct 21 to Oct 22, 2023
This festival celebrates the fine arts culture of the area. Headland Harvest Day Festival - Headland, AL - Oct 13 to Oct 14, 2023
Held at downtown square it has arts and craft vendors, car show, live entertainment, food vendors and lots of games and rides.There is also a 5K.

Butler Fest - Butler, AL - Oct 13 to Oct 14, 2023
Barbecue events sanctioned by Memphis Barbecue Network and Alabama Barbecue Association. Businesses show their town spirit with a parade of decorated pigs announcing the event. Children of all ages can have fun at the carnival beginning Friday. Over 75 food and craft vendors will be set up around Courthouse Square beginning Friday morning. Saturday kicks of with a 5K run, 2 mile walk, and Kid’s Fun Run. After the barbecue winners are announced on Saturday, the streets shut down for a dance.

National Shrimp Festival - Gulf Shores, AL - Oct 12 to Oct 15, 2023
50th anniversary. Fresh from the Gulf seafood during this four-day event that attracts over 300,000 people. More than 80 hours of musical entertainment featuring a lineup of national, regional and local acts with blues, Motown, southern rock, jazz, zydeco and country. 50 local and regional vendors have food lining the boardwalk at the public beach with mouth-watering delights. 200 pounds of shrimp per day will be prepared by some of the area’s best chefs in their award-winning recipes and given away for people to sample at different tasting times that will be posted on the outside of the sponsor tent. Activities this year include Outdoor World and Singing for Scholarships. Families can enter the Annual Sand Sculpture Contest on Saturday. Kids can take part in the Children’s Activity Village, including face-painting, karaoke and much more. Runners and walkers can enter the 10K and 5K races. Art lovers will have almost 200 booths of fine art and arts and crafts vendors.

Moody Oktoberfest - Moody, AL - Oct 7, 2023
An annual arts and craft festival which takes place the first Saturday in October in Moody. The festival features live entertainment on two stages, arts and craft vendors, food, pony rides, inflatables, and fun for all ages.

Alabama Butterbean Festival - Pinson, AL - Oct 6 to Oct 7, 2023
A free family event for fans of the yummy legume. One of the state’s largest festivals. It features live local entertainment, food and non-food vendors (arts and crafts, local organizations), carnival rides, petting zoo, pony rides, and plenty of fun for people of all ages. There is a huge firework show on Friday night at approximately 9:30. Friday hours are 6-10 and Saturday is 9-4.

Boaz Harvest Festival - Boaz, AL - Oct 6 to Oct 7, 2023
Features include an antique car show, over 400 arts and craft vendors, food, pageant, pie eating contest, live music entertainment, fun run and so much more.

St. Florian Oktoberfest - St. Florian, AL - Oct 6 to Oct 7, 2023
The small town celebrates its rich German heritage with its Oktoberfest celebration complete with music, artisans, children’s activities, an antique tractor and engine show, and of course German food!

Alabama Frog Level Festival - Fayette, AL - Oct 6 to Oct 7, 2023
Held in Downtown Fayette sponsored by the Fayette Area Chamber of Commerce. Non-stop music starting at 4 PM on Friday. Saturday includes Cruise in Car Show and Frog Jumping contest. Also has arts and crafts and food vendors.

Birmingham Greek Festival - Birmingham, AL - Oct 5 to Oct 7, 2023
It’s one of Birmingham’s most highly anticipated events and a true cultural experience. Home to the seventh oldest Greek Orthodox parish in the United States. Besides delicious Greek cuisine, you’ll enjoy live Greek music, Greek dancing by the youth, and a warm, spirited atmosphere. As thousands of returning patrons can attest, you will leave a devoted fan. If you want to pick up lunch or dinner for the co-workers or family, remember the take out option. The festival’s offers both drive-thru and walk-up lines. The Cathedral architecture is breathtaking so don’t miss the chance to take a guided tour on an ongoing basis. Free parking is located in the former Liberty National parking deck one block away located between 20th street and Richard Arrington Blvd. The event is free admission and food items are individually priced. The Greek Market Place has imported food, icons, fine jewelry, art, and much more. Proceeds from the festival will benefit local mission work and charities. Since 1972.

Alabama Coastal BirdFest - Fairhope, AL - Oct 4 to Oct 7, 2023
Great for birders of all experience levels, with lots of workshops, speakers, trips, conservation Expo, and more. Various venues across Baldwin and Mobile counties will host, and workshops will be held at Five Rivers Delta Center.

The Cullman Oktoberfest is Cullman’s annual celebration of German heritage and one of North Alabama’s largest and most anticipated events each year. Homestead Hollow Arts & Crafts Festival - Springville, AL - Sep 22 to Sep 24, 2023
Homestead Hollow festivals feature hand made, hand decorated arts and crafts as well as antique/vintage goods. Talk to the pioneer demonstrators of the old time days to see wood carving, blacksmithing, soap making, wood stove cooking, quilting, and whiskey making. Tour original cabins built by the early settlers. Visit the apiarist and learn about bee keeping. Relax by one of the many streams and listen to live local entertainment all day. Enjoy great food from the food court, bbq, funnel cakes, fried pies, ice cream, beans, greens, footlong corn dogs and more! Auburn University Oktoberfest - Auburn, AL - Sep 22 to Sep 23, 2023
Feature traditional German fare, beers from breweries across the U.S., a selection of German wines and live entertainment. The popular Homebrew Alley competition will also be returning with the chance for the winning brewer to have their homemade creation served on tap throughout the fall at A·T and Piccolo. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning August 1st. Oktoberfest attendees will get to choose from more than 100 beers from local craft breweries and national brand favorites. Select German wines will be up for sampling as well. German staples like bratwurst and pretzels will be available to purchase separately. Live music and TVs showing college football games will be set up throughout the festival.

Depot Days Festival - Hartselle, AL - Sep 16, 2023
Features a pageant, zombie chase, live music concert, half marathon, art show, tractor show, bike show, local foods and lots of arts and crafts. The Depot Days Festival is is always held the third Saturday in September. In 2018 the estimated attendance was over 19,000. The week consists of the history of Hartselle, community worship service, choral concert, a movie in the park, and a night at the market. This is a fun family event with no admission costs. On Saturday there is a tractor show, car show, live entertainment, tons of vendors, an art competition, and more.

Monte Sano Art Festival - Huntsville, AL - Sep 16 to Sep 17, 2023
25th annual. Enjoy handmade artwork amidst the natural beauty of the state park. A tradition in Huntsville, Alabama for more than 15 years. Feature more than 140 of the region’s finest artists in an array of wonderful media. Local food trucks and musicians throughout the park. Always a highlight of the fall arts calendar.

Redstone Arsenal MWR Oktoberfest - Huntsville, AL - Sep 15, 2023
The annual four day Oktoberfest in the middle of September hosted by the Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare & Recreation at Redstone Arsenal is open to the public. Enter through Gate 10 on Jordan Lane/Patton Road. Admission is $14-17 depending on day and includes parking, carnival rides and other entertainment. Hours are posted on their website.

Middle Eastern Food Festival - Birmingham, AL - Sep 14 to Sep 16, 2023
Celebrate almost 40 years of the Saint George’s annual festival. Lots of great food and fun.

North Alabama State Fair - Muscle Shoals, AL - Sep 11 to Sep 17, 2023
One of the largest annual events in North Alabama with attendance of approximately 80,000. It started in 1935. Agricultural, industrial, cultural, and commercial exhibits are on display, with fun for the whole family!

Bernard Blues & BBQ - Cullman, AL - Sep 9 to Sep 10, 2023
The festival offers a wonderful variety of handmade arts and crafts as well as live musical performances throughout the weekend. It features a Southern menu of hickory smoked pulled pork, barbeque ribs, chicken wings, Johnsonville brats, hamburgers and hotdogs plus all the fixings. Funnel cakes, strawberry waffles, and fried apple and peach pies will top the list of desserts. As part of this event, St. Bernard Prep will give away over $10,000 in cash prizes at the conclusion of the show. – free parking and $5 admission.

Sweet Tater Festival - Cullman, AL - Sep 3 to Sep 4, 2023
This must-attend event traditionally says “goodbye to summer” and simultaneously welcomes the autumn season into Cullman County. The cost is only $5.00 per person. The Sweet Tater Festival will feature live entertainment, a wide range of delicious food vendors, a broad spectrum of over 100 arts and crafts vendors, and of course, sweet taters (sweet potatoes) in just about EVERY format, taste, and style you can imagine. You can also expect various arcade rides, inflatable bounce houses and other kid-friendly activities as well as adult door prizes opportunities for everyone who attends. A reporter on AL.com called this the greatest event south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Seafood Festival - Guntersville, AL - Sep 1 to Sep 2, 2023
The Saint William Seafood Festival has been ongoing for over 45 years.  You are going to love the Cajun boiled shrimp, Gumbo, chicken and catfish dinners. It began in 1971 under the leadership of the late Father Patrick Murphy. The festival has continued as the primary fundraiser for the church. The Seafood Festival is now at the Foley Center on Gunter Avenue.

Elberta German Sausage Festival - Elberta, AL - Oct 29, 2022
A bi-annual fundraiser that benefits the Elberta Volunteer Fire Department. The festival is held on the last Saturday of March and last Saturday of October. The fire department sells nearly 6,000 pounds of sausage and boasts nearly 30,000 visitors each festival. The festival is located in the Town Park in Elberta, AL. The park is right off of US HWY 98 at Chicago St. They have over 200 booth spaces and over 100 arts and crafts vendors. Admission is FREE!

Irondale Whistle Stop Festival - Leeds, AL - Oct 1, 2022
A free event with live music and arts/crafts.

Plantation House Restaurant Oktoberfest - Millbrook, AL - Sep 30 to Oct 28, 2022
During the month of October, Renate’ Lindsey, a classically trained chef from Germany, will be serving a German buffet every Friday night at her restaurant. Traditional favorites such as pork schnitzel, bratwurst, sauerkraut, red cabbage and apples, spaetzle, apple strudel and other delicious items will be featured.

Fort Novosel Oktoberfest - Fort Rucker, AL - Sep 30, 2022
Traditional German food including bratwurst, schnitzel, German beer and other traditional food will be served. Sonnenschein Express will play live German music. Keg-tossing competition, plus kid-friendly activities will include crafts, inflatables and a pumpkin patch. Admission is free. Be sure to also take part in the Volksmarch. Fort Novosel was formerly called Fort Rucker.

Riverfest Barbecue Cook-off - Decatur, AL - Sep 2 to Sep 3, 2022
Over 70 professional and amateur BBQ cooking teams compete for prizes. Held the third Saturday in September, this barbeque cook-off at Ingalls Harbor is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and attracts competitors from across the country. Selected as a top ten tourist event in the State of Alabama, festival goers can expect live, nationally known musical acts, children’s activities, and award winning barbeque.

Peanut Boil Festival - Luverne, AL - Aug 31 to Sep 5, 2022
The Crenshaw County Shrine Club has been boiling and bagging peanuts for this event since 1970. It has been called the World’s Largest Peanut Boil. They sell from the start date until they sell out – usually the third or fourth day, so don’t delay!

Birmingham Oktoberfest - Birmingham, AL - Oct 5, 2019
This one day is packed with a variety of deliciously cold beers, German food, live music, and an abundance of games and Oktoberfest themed activities! While there used to be a three day Oktoberfest in Birmingham hosted by the local German club, FDSK, it shifted to a one day festival after Das Haus closed, and moved to Railroad Park in 2017 while picking up sponsor Birmingham Sports and Social Club.

If available, what is the procedure for submitting an artist?I’m a Christian/ Gospel artist. My musical style is a mixture of Traditional Gospel, Contemporary Gospel, Contemporary Worship, Christian Rock, and Urban Worship.
