Fall Missouri Festivals
There’s a number of fall and harvest festivals on this list of Missouri fall festivals. But it’s the World Series of Barbecue that I have my eye on at this time. World class bbq in Kansas City? Sign me up! Especially after having indulged in Oktoberfest in Missouri.

Japanese Festival – St Louis, MO – Sept 5-7, 2015
One of the oldest and largest festivals of its kind in America. Celebrates the culture, history and people of Japan. Produced by the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Kansas City Irish Fest – Sept 4-6, 2015
One of the three largest irish festivals in the nation. 30 Celtic rock and traditional Irish bands on 7 stages. Massive children’s area.
Jesse James Festival – Kearney – September 12, 15, 17-20, 2015
Carnival, barbeque cook-out, craft fair, fishing tournament, demolition derby, rodeo, mud volleyball, 5K/10K, Little Miss and Mr. contest and more.
Great Forest Park Balloon Race – Sept 18-19, 2015
43rd annual event. The oldest and most well-attended FREE Hot-Air Balloon Event in the World.
Blue Springs Fall Festival – Blue Springs, MO – September 18-20, 2015
Feast on Turkey Legs, Funnel Cakes, BBQ Sunday, Kettle Corn, Shaved Ice and fresh lemonade. Parade and two stages of entertainment.
HOP in the City Beer Festival – St Louis, MO – September 19, 2015
Food, live music and unlimited beer samples of most of the more than 50 different Schlafly Beer styles.
Liberty Fall Festival – Liberty, MO – September 25-27, 2015
Carnival, parade, music, dancing and entertainment.
Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival – Columbia, MO – September 25-27, 2015
American Blues Scenes Magazine called it one of the most prominent festivals in the country. Over 40 musicians representing genres of blues, roots, gospel, folk, country, and soul. BBQ, 1/2 marathon and 10K and more at Stephens Lake Park. Started in 2007.
Dancefestopia – Kansas City, MO – September 11-13, 2015
Held at Berkley Riverfront Park with over 70 artists across three days. Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, Datsik and many more A-listers.
Japanese Fall Festival – Springfield, MO – September 11-13, 2015
Lou Fest – St. Louis, MO – September 12-13, 2015
A music festival. Shop Market Square or enjoy family friendly activities at LouKidz including face painting, crafts and more.
Kansas City Chalk & Walk Festival – Sept 12-13, 2015
A multi-cultural celebration of the arts and Crown Center Square. Street performers, paintings, workshops, Children’s Creative Corridor. Free admission.
Ozark Celebration Festival – Springfield – September 11-16, 2015
Explore the area’s culture and heritage with four stages of live music and dancing, storytelling, artists, kid’s area and more.
Concordia Fall Festival – Concordia, MO – September 8-12, 2015
Thousands visit this themed festival every year held the first week after Labor Day. Queen contest, three parades, bake sales and contests. Carousel, ferris wheel, giant slide and other rides.

Heritage Festival & Craft Show – Columbia, MO – September 19-20, 2015
Two stages of live music and dance performances, crafts, artisan demonstrations, Ghost stories, museum and village tours, and Fun for Young’uns Area with paper pumpkins, rope making and more.
Greentree Festival – Kirkwood – September 18-20, 2015
Annual festival in Kirkwood Park. Parade, arts & crafts, book fair, car show, sailboat regatta, Kids’ dog show and canine frisbee contest,
St. Louis Scottish Games – Chesterfield, MO – Sept 25-26, 2015
Masters World Championships featuring more than 150 highland athletes from around the world. Bagpipes, celtic rock and folk music, crafts, goods, food, drink, highland dancing, sheepdog trials, sword fighting, birds of prey, kids activities and much more.
Burg Fest – Warrensburg, MO – September 25-26, 2015
A car show, KCBS BBQ contest and entertainment on the Main Stage. Craft & food vendors, live music and home brew competition.
New Madrid Fall Festival – New Madrid, MO – October 3, 2015
Festival is held in historic downtown New Madrid, Missouri. The 5th Annual New Madrid Fall Festival will be held in conjunction with the Bass Pro Shop’s Big Cat Quest Tournament. There will be a youth fishing rodeo, beauty pageant, car truck & bike show, washers tournament, petting zoo, bouncy house, vendors, food, and of course the big catfish weigh-in.
Missouri Town 1855 Fall Festival – Blue Springs, MO – October 3-4, 2015
1850’s music, dance, buggy rides, hot spiced sider, arts & carfts, hay rides and children’s game. 40th year.
O’Fallon Fall Fest – O’Fallon, MO – Oct 9-10, 2015
Friday night street dance to rock & roll hits. Saturday is the festival with arts & crafts, festival food, 5K & 10K runs (with costume contests!), and more.
Maple Leaf Festival – Carthage – October 10-17, 2015
49th annual event with 80,000+ visitors. Parade, 5K/10K, pageants, dog show, lip-syncing competition and more. Started as a Marching Band competition in the 1960s.
Applefest Celebration – Weston – October 3-4, 2015
27th annual event. Parade, arts & crafts, apple dumplings and other food products from local churches. Children’s activities include pumpkin painting, pony rides, face painting and carnival games. Adult admission is $1. Kids under 15 are free. Free parking.
Neosho Fall Festival – Neosho, MO – October 3-4, 2015
Two days of family activities including live music, scarecrow contest, art expo, chalk art contest, coaster car derby, free inflatable rides for kids and more.
Missouri Day Festival – Trenton – October 16-18, 2015
Over 15,000 attend the largest Trenton festival of the year. Started in 1984, it honors the history of Missouri. Parade, car show and marching band festival.
Apple Butter Days – Linn Creek – October 16-17, 2015
Arcadia Valley Mountain Fall Festival & Music Festival – Arcadia Valley, MO – October 16-18, 2015
A twice yearly celebration of old time music with bluegrass, mountain and americana. The parade is the longest running parade in the state of Missouri at 87 years and counting. Free admission.
Deutsch Country Days – Marthasville, MO – October 17-18, 2015
34th Annual German Living Historic Festival on Historic Luxenhaus Farm.
Citizen Jane Film Festival – Columbia – October 22-25, 2015
A diverse festival featuring the works of female filmmakers. Premiered in 2008.
Festival of Fiber Arts – Camdenton – October 10, 2015
10th annual event in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Workshop, fiber arts display and vendor booths. Free admission. Held at Community Christian Church and sponsored by the Lake Area Fiber Artists.
Kimmswick Applebutter Festival – Kimmswick, MO – October 24-25, 2015
More than 100,000 visitors annually. Help stir the apple butter. Live musical entertainment in the park. More than 500 food, drink and craft vendors line the streets. For kids, a miniature train, petting zoo and pony rides.
St. Louis International Film Festival – St. Louis, MO – Nov 5-15, 2015
24th annual event with more than 200 screenings and programs.
