New York State Festival of Balloons - Dansville, NY - Sep 1 to Sep 5, 2016
Over 35,000 attend this festival starting with the free balloon GLOW on Thursday night.  Festival has six scheduled balloon launches, international food court, free entertainment, rides and amusements, car show, and craft vendors.

National Buffalo Wing Festival - Buffalo, NY - Sep 3 to Sep 4, 2016
Top chefs and over 70,000 visitors have journeyed to Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo for this annual food event.  Lots of food and competitions based around chicken wings.  Children 8 and under are free.

Cheektowaga German Heritage Festival - Cheektowaga, NY - Sep 3 to Sep 4, 2016
A two day festival to celebrate German culture. Live music by Bergholz Blaskapelle, The Ausländers, The German-American Musicians and The Frankfurters. They will sell German food and beer. Kinder Park Family Fun area for children to enjoy and shopping in the Vendor Marketplatz. Sponsored by the Federation of German-American Societies.

Tugboat Roundup - Waterford, NY - Sep 9 to Sep 11, 2016
A free event for the whole family with lots of tugboat demonstrations and rides, plus face painting, puppet show, food, crafts,  pony rides, and Saturday night fireworks.

5K Nature Run & Walk is a fundraiser to support the Brothers of Mercy mission. There is also beer, food, dancing and musical entertainment by the Auslanders between 5:30 PM and 10 PM. Cost is between $10 and $25.

NY Craft Brewers Festival - Syracuse, NY - Nov 19 to Nov 19, 2016
Held 4PM-8PM at the Landmark Theatre.  Sample foods and over beers from over 50 NYS breweries.
